WORK EXPERIENCE

FJN Enterprises San Juan PR USA 08/1993 – 01/2014

Led development of new business and products as distributor, manufacturer’s representative and broker

of general merchandise, food & beverages, frozen & refrigerated products, clothing, health & beauty, OTC

and Rx medicine, auto parts, recycling, water equipment, logistics services, etc. in the USA, PR,

Caribbean and other international markets (Asia, Taiwan, India etc.) which resulted in a very positive

outcome. Ex Im Agent for these territories.

Managed a team of 8 employees which established new plans, strategies controls for sales, marketing

and customer service for each individual client in their own country.

Opened accounts with major chains in Puerto Rico such as JC Penney’s, Sears and other local retailers

(250+ stores). Positioned and marketed my private label lines of clothing (Evergreen Island & Paradise

Blue) in their stores in order to compete with brand names such as Tommy Bahamas, Levis, Calvin Klein

and others.

As a manufacturer’s representative opened and developed new accounts in the Caribbean, USA, and

South & Central America in the personal care industry with private labels products manufactured in Israel,

Spain and Panama.

Able to establish great commercial relationships with American and Hispanic/Latin customers due to my

bilingual speaking.

Worked overseas in domestics accounts with commodity products, services and others, which allowed me

to establish international commercial relations with new customers and at the same time, allowed me to

learn how to satisfy their needs, consumer behaviour, and the appropriate way to market and trade with

each individual country (import/export & logistics) with outstanding results on revenues/profits for all the

parties involved.

From 2006 2012, as an exporter, opened and developed new business locally and overseas (PR, Asia,

USA, Caribbean, Malaysia, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Central and South America) in the recycling

industry exporting metals (ferocious/non ferocious), plastic and waste paper, obtaining awesome results,

substantial profits including huge savings in their logistics.

From 2009 2013 worked in the food industry (beverages & frozen/refrigerated products) as a sales

representative, developing new business and products in USA and International markets (Caribbean,

Central & South America).
