MINI-PROJECT
Project Name : DESIGN OF AC/DC VOLTAGE REGULATOR USING SCR.
Description :This project involves power control in ac/dc circuit. The input frequency is related
to the triggering frequency of SCRs. Thus, variable frequency supply can be
easily obtained and used for speed control of ac/dc motors.
MAIN-PROJECT
Project Name : MAXIMUM POWER POINT TRACKINGFOR PHOTOVOLTAIC
SYSTEM USING PIC CONTROLLER.
Description :This project involves in tracking maximum power point using Pv cell.
Output power of photovoltaic cells has nonliner characteristics depending on
solar irradiation levels and temperature. In order to continuously delive r the
maximum power to the load under the changing conditions, it is necessary to
track the maximum power point of the PV array. Therefore, a maximum power point
tracking (MPPT) controller based on the improved hill-climbing is proposed in this
project. The controller based on microprocessor is used to implement the proposed
MPPT algorithm, which gives a pulse width modulation (PWM) to drive the boost
DC/DC converter in the photovoltaic system, and force the photovoltaic module
to operate at the maximum power point.
