Brescia University College c/o Human Resources
London, Ontario N6G 1H2
I am pleased to be applying for a Enrolment Services Assistant
position.
My work experiences has allowed me to develop and apply goal setting
plans for our children, with a history of domestic violence, severe trauma
and neglect, various developmental emotional delays and autism. I have
supported many individuals with behavioural, emotional, physical, medically
fragile and mental health issues. I am able to apply crisis intervention
skills, de-escalate critical situations and negotiate to achieve positive
outcomes. I also have knowledge and experience supporting and administering
individuals who are prescribed medications such as Ritalin, Concerta, and
Risperadone.
During my schooling practice at a daycare and with the Thames Valley
Children's Centre, I contributed to planning and prepared materials for
children evidence based. I have collected data and evaluated the
effectiveness of my teaching program while utilizing my strong written and
oral communication skills. I am an excellent team player who can also work
well independently. I have strong interpersonal skills and work
professionally with parents, administration, and colleagues. I am patient,
cooperative, flexible, and a good listener, which I believe are all
essential skills needed in the educational assistant role. I am at ease
working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment where I can apply my sound
judgment, problem solving and multi-tasking skills. Through my work
experience I am able to receive and incorporate constructive feedback from
others. My experiences have allowed me to develop excellent communication
skills.
As a supply educational assistant and during my LTO assignments I have
enabled the emotional, social and academic growth of our children according
to their individual and complex needs. I love getting that late night or
early morning call to come support our children. It allows me to utilize my
skills, apply my knowledge and have that opportunity to make a difference
in our children. I would be honored to have the opportunity in making this
my full time career. I am confident that I exhibit all of the skills and
qualities required to become a Nanny/ sitter
I am excited for this new challenge and I strongly believe that my
positive energy and outlook will be a great addition to Brescia University
College. I welcome and value the opportunity to meet with you for an
interview to discuss the many qualifications I bring to this position.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely yours,
Sarah Bowman
