Sr. Application Engineer/Pneumatic Conveying Dec. 2011 – May 2015

Directed and assisted Systems and Aftermarket Sales Engineers with proper identification, sizing and design, costing and preparing presentations for system solutions or equipment proposed. This included application of all types of Pneumatic Conveying equipment, their related components, and any replacement, repair or spare parts required. All efforts were directed at confirming the validity of the initial customer inquiry, and providing engineering and technical support respective to the inquiry. Root Cause Analysis, recognition and troubleshooting pneumatic conveying systems on site or via teleconference assured we addressed the problematic area(s) that were questionable. I am experienced in equipment applications problems relative to most bulk solids materials transferred pneumatically. Frequent teleconferences and site visits preserved good communications and project integrity throughout the quote, sales and commissioning cycles. I have developed numerous electronic tools for Sales Engineers to utilize which addresses most application questions, thus accelerating response times to customer inquiries. Responsibilities also included the training of new Sales Engineers, and continuing education regularly scheduled for all existing sales personnel. These sessions include training on Dust Collection and Pneumatic Conveying Systems. Related equipment and emerging new products and technologies are included in class presentations. Maintaining current vendor relations, and developing new ones is also in position responsibilities. Systems, Equipment, and Aftermarket Parts Sales increased with these efforts as a base, and usually achieved higher Gross Margins than goals initially set by management.

Assisting with presentation and securing the sale of systems proposed was also included as one of my responsibilities. Assigned team leader to develop company standard equipment cost, standard text, and system sales proposal procedures. Generating these standards to maintain consistency in projects proposed helped to ease the customer’s review process and capture true equipment and project costs.
