Description:

The project is about knowledge management in data warehouse using Informatica 8.x, 9.x. The client needs to maintain historical and live data about their policies and their rates so that can be viewed in the form of reports on day to day and monthly basis. The project consists of different modules comprising of data cleansing, processing and data orientation as per the report requirements.

The various steps that are involved in these processes are:

Extract all required data from various source systems and KM Data Mart.

Calculate the pre-capped variables related to each model from the data.

Provide any additional information required to perform neutralizations, normalizations, and other calculations.

Balancing of data is done at various stages (i.e. source to staging, staging to variable & variable to ODS) to ensure that there is no data leakage when data moves from one state to another.

Description:

The goal of the Claims Fraud Analytics project is to identify the fraudulent claims from the information available from internal and external sources. In order to identify fraud, Selective Insurance has developed models based on a certain set of variables to score the claims. The Data is presented to the User to do mining on the data. This process also includes the scoring of all the current open claims on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

Studied and understood the warehouses, sources, and functionally analyzed the application domains, involved in various knowledge transfers from dependent teams understand the business activities and application programs and document the understandings for internal team referencing.

Description:

GEICO is one of the fastest growing Auto Insurance Company. It serves its customers by offering a range of innovative products to individuals and group customers at more than 600 locations through its company-owned offices.

The primary objective of this project is to capture different Customers, Policies, Claims Agents, Products and financial related data from multiple OLTP Systems and Flat files. Extracted Transformed Loaded data in to data warehouse using Informatica Power center and generated various reports on a daily, weekly monthly and yearly basis. These reports give details of the various products of GEICO Insurance products that are sold. The reports are used for identifying agents for various rewards and awards and performance, risk analysis reports for Business development Managers.

Responsibilities:

Assisted gathering business requirements and worked closely in various Applications with Business Analyst teams to develop Data Model, ETL procedures to design Data Warehouse.
