SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
I have experience in all phases of general heavy equipment and truck repair. This includes hydraulic
systems, electrical systems, air systems and engine and power train systems. My experience is primarily
Caterpillar based, but I have worked on some Cummins and Detroit engines. Since working for Arnold
Machinery and Peabody Energy at The North Antelope Rochelle Mine (NARM), I have gained a lot of
Hitachi experience on 2500 and 3600 size machines. I have worked on Fuller, Rockwell and Allison
transmissions and also Fuller and Eaton differentials and drive groups. I have experience with brakes
(both air and hydraulic) and some minor light vehicle maintenance.
I have experience with Cat Service and Information Systems and Electronic Technician. I am also
experienced with DDDL and DDRS Detroit Electronic Systems and have done some Cummins Electrical
Systems. I have completed Detroit Diesel Training for both online and instructor led classes. Those
include DD15 Engine Overhaul and DD15 Advanced Diagnostics. I have completed online classes for
Series 60 MBE 900 and MBE 4000. I also have experience looking up and ordering my own parts. I have
dealt with many vendors.
I am proficient with stick welding, dual shield wire and flux core wire processes as they pertain to the
repair industry. I am also proficient with oxyacetylene, braising and welding processes. I also operate
plasma cutters, air arcs and all general tools related to the welding industry.
I am experienced with line boring and some machining processes as they pertain to heavy equipment
repair. I have a complete set of hand tools, air tools and electrical tools that are a requirement in this
industry.
I have my certification cards from the U. S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration
for coal, metal and non-metal mines.
