merchandise and operating tasks. Tasks include providing superior customer service, setting end-
caps / planograms on a weekly and monthly basis, control inventory, accountable for all store cash,
deposits, maintaining the appearance of the store ensuring a safe and pleasing environment for both
customers and associates. A clean and neat store leaves a great and lasting impression of the stores'

Press Operator / Circulation District Manager
Fayetteville Publishing Company 08/03/1992 -12/01/2012
To assist in the daily operation of all printing presses, to prepare and load paper for printing while
maintaining an acceptable level of waste, to inventory all paper and supplies on a monthly basis, to set
ink and water values in appropriate increments with accuracy during printing to ensure proper
alignment while producing an excellent product. Operating clamp trucks and forklift on a daily basis.
In the first year of being a press operator, I was recognized by the Publisher in his “Save a penny”
program for reducing company waste. With the implementation of my ideas in the press room, I was
able to reduce printing waste by seventy five percent per year, which, in turn saved the company
several thousand dollars a year. Fourteen years experience.
To contract new carriers for the delivery of newspapers and other printed material and to ensure the
proper delivery of same, to maintain a high level of service and to increase circulation through sales.
To maintain, record and track circulation on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis so as to accurately
forecast sales goals for my district as well as the zones. Generated spread sheets for price increases to
the carriers as well as the customers whereby more revenue was received for the company. At the
request of the General Manager, we were given, along with every District Manager in every
newspaper across the country, the opportunity to write an article on how we could improve our
district. My article was approved, voted on and published in “Circulation Ideas”, a periodical which
comes out every month, for “How to train a new carrier.” My ideas are still in practice today and
saves the future District Managers a lot of headaches while training new carriers. Six years.
Route Salesman
Franklin Baking Company 05/06/1989 -08/01/1992
To order and deliver bread and baked goods to designated routes, to maintain ample product on
customer's shelves and having a variety of products for sale, to ensure that there is an excellent
appearance upon leaving and to provide customer service. To make deposits daily. On my first
delivery route, which was very low volume, and being the only route salesman in that area, the only
way I could increase my profit was to increase the size of the route. Within seven months and a lot of
determination and motivation, I had tripled my route's potential and my commission. I quickly
realized that this market was to large for me to handle alone, and after discussing this with the sales
manager, and demographic studies taken, a suitable location was found and another agency was
created. Three routes were initiated and are still there. Three years.

To repair, maintain, install or replace high voltage transmission and distribution circuits, to assist in
the construction of electrical sub-stations, to work in adverse conditions and all kinds of weather. To
