Performs strategic planning, leadership, and decision-making authority for IT infrastructure. Introduced and maintain a formal change management process and tracking process which has reduced the number of unplanned outages. Conducted Business Impact Analysis and created the test plan for annual disaster recovery tests and documentation. A member of the enterprises security council. Technologies that have been successfully justified and introduced to the company:
Virtualization – Using VMware the number of physical servers have been reduced over 50% and have been able to increase deployment of new servers by around 20% without increasing staff and systems.
WAN Optimization – Reduced the need to increase bandwidth increases by 50% with the introduction of WAN optimization at remote sites.
SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) – The result of SAN technology resulted in several processes that were taking days to complete were reduced to being completed in hours. With the introduction of NAS technology and features there was a reduction of storage needs of 70%.
Cloud technologies – Implemented email archival solution with Mimecast as the provider of this solution.

Duties include managing and building a team of 12 individuals across several Information Technology disciplines. The primary responsibility of the team is the support and development of over 300 Intel based servers, 7 AS400 (iSeries) systems, security administration, and print services. In addition, the support of the Enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) which consists of Brocade switches, IBM, and EMC disk arrays totaling over 30 TB of storage. Other responsibilities include developing and maintaining the capital and operating budgets for the LAN group and developing business relations with vendors.
