Administrative Secretary to Mayor and City Manager
In 1999, set up a database with all city employee information; name, address, ss#, race, birth date, etc. Take minutes at Board of Adjustments, Planning/Zoning Board. Take minutes at Council Meetings at the absence of City Clerk. Prepare Council Meetings packets, type agenda, proclamations, commendations, ordinances, resolutions, etc. Prepare budget figures for the City Manager. Do graphics for when city is closed for holidays, etc. Generated an Access Database of our Voters List in 2000. In charge of Arts/Crafts Show each year, mail out invitations, do a map, etc. In 2000, set up a database of all Arts/Crafts Vendors. Answer multi line telephone. Use Microsoft word, Access, Power Point, Excel, Outlook. Handle Workers Compensation and do all first reports, Handle any and all workers compensation issues if an employee brings a suit against the city. Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, reconcile all payroll take out insurances. Sign up new employees for Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, and life insurance. Do a tax report yearly regarding all cafeteria plan insurances. Handle all re-enrollment of insurance each year: schedule, make changes and reconcile all bills. Do all general secretarial work for the City of Lanett. Call Council Members and inform of any work sessions, fax the press and the city attorney. Do all AMIC reporting of any incident that happens in the city such as any suits against the city or any problem such as a house damaged while the Fire Department was burning down a house next door. Work with Jerry Thrower on Planning/Zoning and Board of Adjustments; send out letters regarding meetings, etc. Handle all bid information and sent out bid packets.
