EXPERIENCE

2010-Present President Tuxedo Central/ Southwest Ohio

In 2010, President Tuxedo acquired Skeffington's Formalwear to expand it's chain and market share to include Michigan, Ohio and Northern Kentucky.

District Manager

Responsible for 10 locations in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Ohio and Northern Kentucky. With nearly $2 million in sales generated annually.

Responsible for developing my team to provide a high level of personalized service to our customers in a manner which demonstrates an understanding and sensitivity to their needs and a mastery of selling skills.

Developed and updated the company's training manual, courses and tests required to be completed by all of our sales associates.

Assist with policies and procedures geared toward increased average price per unit, lower exchange rates, improved customer experience and a positive work environment.

Assist with computer programming enhancements to increase efficiency, productivity and loss prevention.

Assist with product line decisions for both rental and retail.

Network with wedding related vendors, charity functions and high schools to develop long-lasting relationships and future customer referrals.

Responsible for bridal show participation, scheduling, fulfilling of materials needed, setting and achieving goals and coaching and developing our bridal show team members.

Responsible for conducting weekly conference calls and quarterly manager's meeting to discuss pertinent information, train and hold our managers accountable to their store's metrics. I am also responsible for weekly store visits to spend one on one time with our associates, review paperwork procedures and assist our customers.

2009-2010 Skeffington’s Formalwear Dublin, OH

Skeffington’s Formalwear is a small family-owned chain of 10 stores in Southwest Ohio. Focused on customer service they specialize in formal attire.

Initially responsible for two locations as I focused on growing the Columbus, OH market.

Assisted with the planning and development of new store locations including the scouting of retail developments.

2007-2009 Men's Wearhouse & Tux Columbus, OH

Men’s Wearhouse purchased After Hours Formalwear in April 2007. Men's Wearhouse & Tux now boasts of over 1000 locations nationwide making them the largest national formalwear chain.

Converted filing systems, computer systems and POS systems to an all new integrated operating system.

Trained and developed staff in new company policies and procedures.

1994–2007 Tuxedo World / After Hours Formalwear Dublin, OH

The Bridal Group, owned by Federated Department Stores, included After Hours Formalwear. They were the leading national formalwear retailer specializing in men’s formalwear for rental and purchase. In 2001, After Hours Formalwear purchased Sempliner's Tuxedo World in their pursuit to become the nation's first formalwear chain.

Wholesale Sales Manager

Responsible for servicing over 100 accounts in Indiana and Illinois.

Solicited and established several new accounts in a highly competitive market.

Coached and developed new and existing business owners and their employees.

Established and developed a customer centric staff.

Was responsible for opening a number of stores in new markets.

Achieved a company top 10 gross sales ranking in 2004 out of 450 stores; also set several store records which are still in effect today.

Family owned and operated with 40 stores in the Midwest, Sempliner’s Tuxedo World was the third company to merge with After Hours Formalwear to help establish their national presence.

I was responsible for 4 Columbus stores, and reported directly to the Retail Sales Manager and Vice-President of the company.

Assisted with the planning and development of new store locations including the scouting of retail developments, establishing services to new stores and developing marketing strategies to service customers in new territories.

Recruited, trained, coached and developed all associates in the market.

After pioneering Columbus, OH with one store, the Columbus market was one of the most profitable markets in the After Hours Formalwear Organization, grossing over $3 million in sales with their 5 locations.

2000–2005 After Hours Formalwear DBA Bridal World Dublin, OH

Trade Show Producer

Established and developed a bridal trade show which required business to business relationships.

Managed a budget of up to $35,000 which was used to produce, market, and promote a wedding trade show at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Developed a marketing strategy which yielded a 2004 Bridal World record attendance with over 40 vendors, 700 brides and 2000 attendees.
