ICS UI Performance Test Automation and SSRS

Our Test team had been solely depended on manual testing for clicking through the UI menus, checking response time and creating a comparison report. And it usually takes more than 2-3 hours. Now all these processes are fully automated and can be done with one-click. Once it starts, all the processes are done in a minute or two. Visual Studio CodedUI, C#, ADO.NET, T-SQL, and SSRS were used for this automation project.

ICS Performance Test Report

Spacelabs performance test team tests backend performance in MS SQL server and they used to report and visualize their test results using Excel. Manually reporting and visualizing the results using Excel required extremely time-consuming copy paste and error prone procedure. I solved this problem using SQL Server Reporting Service. This program fetches the data from production servers hourly and save the data in local tables. Then this displays real-time data in the tables and charts so that testers can easily visualize and analyze the performance of our product. SQL Server Reporting Service and T-SQL were used for this software development.

Knockout version 1.0, 2.0, 2.5, 2.6, and 3.0

Before Knockout, restoring data and deployment process for test environment in Orca Wave were all manual process, which led error prone situations and delay of the time. Knockout was created to overcome these obstacles.

Its main functions include restoring data, deploying the build, and database snapshot for both frontend and backend. It also has a few very important security features that prevent errors that can affect during and after test environment setup. With Knockout, Orca Wave test team saved enormous amount of time and reduced critical errors. I also created a user manual for this application. C# and T-SQL were used for this software development.

Orca PDFer

Orca Wave billing team used to save the customers’ bills and convert those to pdf file one by one. To achieve this task, our support team had to go through several manual steps for just one file conversions. This was very tedious job and took very long time especially there were hundreds of files to be converted. With Orca PDFer, the support team stores all the bills in a folder and these are automatically converted to PDF format and save in a destination folder with one button click. C# was used for this software development.
