Tool (NBT), a collection of CDC-built Rhapsody custom filters that enhances end-user functionality and ease-of-
use web interface (MSS portal). Building on the strength of the Rhapsody EAI, NBT provides value added

disparate streams of electronic messages

Directory services are one of the core infrastructure components of any enterprise information
architecture. The Public Health Directory (PHINDIR) performs this essential service in the context of
PHIN. It is an authoritative repository of information about people, organizations, and jurisdictions that
are of importance to public health programs, and of the roles that people play within organizations.
PHINDIR is built from input from related directories maintained by PHIN partner organizations (such as
state, territorial, and metropolitan area health departments, and the CDC), local health departments and
other organizations. The PHINDIR requirements focus on: 1) the kind of people, roles, and organizations
that must be maintained in each partners directory; 2) the kind of information about these people,
roles, and organizations that must be kept in each directory, and that must be shareable with other
partners; 3) the ability of the directory system to serve other systems internally (notably, PHIN
Communication and Alerting (PCA)); 4) the ability of partners systems to electronically exchange key
information about key people and organizations with each other.

NEDSS (National Electronic Disease Surveillance System) is an Internet-based infrastructure for public health surveillance
data exchange that uses specific PHIN (Public Health Information Network) and NEDSS Data Standards. NEDSS also relies
heavily on industry standards (including: standard vocabulary code sets such as LOINC, SNOMED, and HL7).
NEDSS is not a single, monolithic application, but a system of interoperable subsystems, components and systems modules
that include software applications developed and implemented by the CDC; those developed and implemented by State and
Local health departments and those created by commercial services and vendors

Service Fund system is one of the key systems in Humana Inc, which deals with payment to the providers, based on their
claims. The system provides membership information, provider (doctor) information and their contract with Humana Inc.

Worked in couple of project was to make the system Y2K compliant. The system may be classified as New
Connection, Customer Information, and Billing etc. Century Analysis tool was used for Impact analysis. The
report gives the details of the date fields affected. Field expansion technique was used for conversion. FILE
AID tool was used for expanding VSAM files. The production programs and converted programs were compared
for any mismatch using SUPER-C. Unit testing was done using test data prepared during test plan.
