WORK EXPERIENCE:
September 2010-Present Big Lots Distribution Center
Maintenance Supervisor
Duties: Supervisor over 3 Conveyor Technicians, 2 Lift Technicians, and one
Battery Changer. Daily duties include daily and weekly P.M.’s. Troubleshoot
mechanical and electrical problems with Boss program system, Buschman
conveyors, trash, plastic and cardboard compactors. Responsible for daily up keep
of Raymond Reach lift trucks, tuggers, pallet jacks, and RC lifts. Daily duties also
include I Maint, daily payroll time and overall building maintenance.
January 2010-August 2010 HANIL E HWA (TIER ONE SUPPLIER FOR
HMMA)
Injection Molding Supervisor
Duties: Supervise and motivate 17 employees for injection molding fabricating
door panels for HMMA. Daily duties that require check sheets, parts ordering,
insuring 100% production to supply HMMA. Time sheets, employee attendance,
quality, cleanliness of department, production reports, downtime reports,
scheduling, and computer skills. Responsible for many improvement ideas that has
saved HANIL E. HWA a significant amount of money not only in quantity and
quality. Improvements to the machines to cut waste cost in color changes in panels.
Changes that not only saved time but also in materials during the 3 different color
changes that we have. One other change was repositioning the weld line and this
reduced the number of burn marks we were experiencing in our panels.
Troubleshooting and adjusting machines to prevent short shots. Making sure that
production starts up smoothly and on time, which was a major problem before I
arrived. We were also having problems with team members’ attendance and being
punctual to work. This has greatly improved to where my department actually
received the perfect attendance award 2 months after my arrival. We use the team
concept that we all succeed whenever we come to work on time and perform our
job, and when we succeed the company succeeds.
October 2008-Febuary 2010 Zachry Construction
Journeyman (NCCER CERTIFIED) MILLRIGHT (Construction Company)
Duties: Building CT and Steam Generator for Hillabee Power Plant
Bearing installment, hydrogen seal installation, outer deflector seal installation,
turbine installation, and motor laser alignment boiler feed pumps, installation of
lower and upper shell of the turbine, pipe installation, precision tools duties. My
main duties on this project was installation of the turbine, bearings, hydrogen seals,
oil deflector seals and laser motor alignment of the boiler feed pumps that had to
be .000-.002 alignment and level tolerance. During my employment with Zachry I
applied for and passed the N.C.C.E.R. testing process to become officially certified
millwright. We completed the millwright process of the generator rebuilding in
October of 2009.
September 2007- July 2008 DIX Corporation (construction company)
Journeyman Millwright
Duties: Laser motor-gear box alignment, trolley and bridge wheel bearing
replacement, motor base welding and placement, gear contact and backlash
adjustment, motor wiring, conduit replacement, and power panel replacement for
overhead crane. I was the only millwright on this project as we completely stripped
down this 100 ton overhead crane and replaced the motors braking system trolley
and bridge wheel assemblies. I was in charge of the repositioning and laser
alignment of the motor and brake assemblies. We were on a dead line for
completion of this project and we completed the project 2 weeks before our
completion date.
April 1985-August 2007 Citation-Marion. Citation Marion is a foundry located in
Marion, Alabama and we were at one time the third largest thin walled exhaust
manifold producer in the U.S. We were producing exhaust manifolds for Chrysler,
GM and Ford. Started my employment with Citation Marion as a millwright and
through hard work determination and learning skills was promoted to maintenance
supervisor at age 27, the youngest maintenance supervisor in the organization at
the time. Later I was promoted to maintenance supervisor/production foreman.
This expanded my duties into the production department and I was able to use
some of my production ideas and help increase production. I was over the spomatic
molding machine and production increased from 80% to 90-95% capacity.
Maintenance Supervisor/Foreman
Duties: Preventive Maintenance program director, in charge of millwrights and
electricians and their daily duties as far as check sheets and production
breakdowns, machinery startup, timesheets, parts ordering, scheduling of
preventive and predictive maintenance on off shifts, downtime reports and daily
work tasks to management.
1983-1985 Griffin Wood Company-Diesel Mechanic(lumber company)
Duties: diesel engine and transmission repair and brake repairs.
