to the Park Avenue Tunnel & GCT Train Shed, New York

April 2013)

As a Senior Inspector for the Priority Repairs to the Park Avenue

Tunnel & GCT Train Shed, the project consists supervision for the

construction of structural improvements within the Park Avenue

Tunnel from East 57th Street to East 97th Street, for the Repairs

to East 72nd Street Emergency Exit under Park Avenue and for

certain priority repairs in the Grand Central Terminal (GCT) train

shed upper level. The project also consists of repairs to existing

utility bays (installing new shoring or supports) crossing over

the tunnel. Masonry repairs (pointing and replacement of missing

or cracked brick). Interior masonry wall repairs (grouting cracks

and injecting epoxy into voids in interior brick walls and

installing fiberglass sheets as supplemental supports to the

walls). Concrete repairs (replacement of deteriorated wall

foundations and repairs to portions of the tunnel roof that have

spalled). Steel repairs and heat straightening of certain

structural steel members (replace several buckled columns

supporting lintels, repairs to members supporting the tunnel roof,

including heat straightening of four girders that were struck by

passing equipment). Repairs to the existing deteriorated support

columns in the east tunnel emergency exit located at E. 72nd

Street. The steel has been found to have high concentrations of

lead. Water leak mitigation (installing weep holes and perforated

drainage pipes through the block or brick walls, both exterior and

interior). Repairs to the several of the vent structures located

in the median between northbound and southbound Park Avenue

(replacement of portions of the gratings and repairs to the

grating supports). Coordinating Engineering issues such as sites

and conditions, etc. between various trades .Maintenances of

project records and coordinate resolution of field issues with

Emergency Exit Repairs at 59th & 86th Street, New York

Contract 8294; $185K: (February 2012 -

November 2012)

As a Senior Inspector for the Park Ave. Tunnel Emergency Exit

Repair, the project consisted of monitoring and inspection of all

construction activities, system implementation work which included

removal and replacement of existing stair support channels,

existing stair stringers, checkered landing plate, replacement of

corroded hand and guiderails, stair treads, and finally cleaning

and painting existing stair and around repaired areas as well as

the stair angles and closure plate. The project also consisted of

replacement of seals around street hatches at both the East and

West side Emergency Exits at 59th street as well as 86th street

Emergency Exits. Also conducted inspection to ensure that all work

elements are performed and completed in compliance with the

project plans, specifications, codes, permits and other applicable

regulations as well as maintenance and organization of current

set of plans and specs onsite including all processed and approved

shop drawings, technical data & samples. Write, track and log

requests for information (RFI) for clarification of plans and

distribute final responses, attached sketches and corrections to

the plans keeping the onsite current and accurate. Punch-list

management: Prepare punch-list for contractors' corrective action

and maintain logs of Contractor and Engineering Documents (i.e.

shop drawings, testing and inspection reports, plans and

Anchorage Cleaning and Painting of Eye bar

of the Eye bar chambers as well as periodic oiling of the cable

strands inside the anchorage chambers at 6 month intervals. Also

performed detection of cracked and hollow areas within the

anchorage concrete base structure surface by performing sounding

on the concrete wall surface of the 110 high outside and inside

anchorage structure on the Queens Side anchorage. The cracks and

hollows area were then chipped and cleaned and was patched with

new concrete and filled with SIKA epoxy bonding agent. Client:

Resident Engineer - Route 172

Intersection Improvements, Bedford, NY Putnam County; $1.2M

(July 2009 - January 2010)

As a Resident Engineer, this project entailed constructing a two

lane jug-handle for left turn maneuvers into the Fox Lane School

Campus and replacing the traffic signal. In addition, the project

included approximately 1,000 feet of road work on NYS Route 172

including dedicated turn lanes, re-grading and reconstructing the

entrance and exit of the school campus and reconfiguring the Route

172/Succabone Road intersection to accommodate the jug-handle.

During all stages of work, the Contractor was required to place

MPT control devices and flag persons at various locations to

control traffic in accordance with the provisions in the NYSDOT

Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices while maintaining

access to the school. Monitoring the construction work required

continual communication and liaison with representatives of the

school, NYS Electric & Gas, the NYSDOT, and Verizon. Execution and

progress of the project; Monitor daily construction activities to

ensure conformance with the contract plans and specifications;

Develop and document estimates of completed work and prepare

contractor payment requisitions; Record and track measurements of

all unit price items and compute quantities for completed work;

Maintaining the overall schedule, analyzing schedule data,

altering potential schedule slippage, and making recommendations

for recovery; and Monitor the execution of the project's

maintenance and protection of traffic plan to assure the

Office Engineer for the replacement of the Shore Circle Road

Bridge over the Amtrak. This project is located in the borough of

Bronx and comprises of the replacement of a two span bridge into a

single span bridge structure. Also performed, maintenance and

organization of current set of plans and specs onsite including

all processed and approved shop drawings, technical data &

samples. Generated order-on-contract. Made Schedule for inspection

Rehabilitation Project in Manhattan. Contract 9752; $13 M.

(February 2007 - June 2008)

Office Engineer for rehabilitation of GCT Upper level Train shed.

This project is located under the city streets and buildings

immediately north of Grand Central Terminal (GCT) in New York

City. The project extends from 45th Street to 58th Street and

from Lexington Avenue to Madison Avenue in the populated urban

environment of New York City. High rise office, commercial, and

hotel buildings comprise the majority of property in the area

above the project limits. Below the streets and buildings are

Metro-North's GCT upper level tracks and train platforms. This

construction project consists of miscellaneous improvements to the

Grand Central Terminal Upper Level Train shed, which will affect

most of the upper level railroad tracks leading into GCT as well

as the streets and sidewalks above the tracks. The project

involves replacement, strengthening of existing columns, stringers

and floor beams; extensive maintenance and protection of vehicular

traffic at street level and railroad traffic at track level;

roadway, sidewalk replacement including waterproofing to prevent

any water entering the track area; coordination of the

construction activities with on going Metro North Railroad and New
