Profile Summary Currently working as an Assistant Manager with the Oil & Gas Practice of
Protiviti Middle East in UAE. In the current role, I am leading a team of six
consultants to deliver a range of advisory, internal audit and risk based business
consulting services to clients in the oil & gas industry across Middle East. An
MBA graduate from IIT Kharagpur ; BE from NSIT, University of Delhi and
possess a rich industry experience of over 5 years in providing consulting to
oil & gas clients in UAE, India, Qatar & Oman. Also worked on several
consulting projects across the domains of public finance, urban utilities &
governance and infrastructure.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Protiviti (Middle East), UAE Assistant Manager Jan 2014 – till date

Providing risk based business consulting and advisory services to a range of clients in the oil & gas sector of Middle
East region to assist them in identifying and managing their risks with respect to systems and processes .
Risk Assessment across the 21 divisions of National Drilling Company – Carried our Risk Assessment exercise across the 21
divisions( including technical and support functions) of National Drilling Company (NDC) at Abu Dhabi. The high
risk areas across the company were identified, and based on these inputs a risk based internal audit plan for three
years was developed.
Review of Technical & Integrity Division of Fertil : Reviewed the process for the Engineering, Process Technology and
Asset Integrity sections of the Fertil plants in Ruwais, and suggested way to improve their process and strengthen
controls.
Review of the HSE Division of Fertil: Carried out a review of the fire safety, environment, process safety and
occupational health processes of the HSE division and identified the key gaps in the adequacy and effectiveness of
controls. Subsequently suggested recommendations for process enhancement.
Review of Technical Services Division, Dolphin: Executed a process improvements and internal audit assignment for the
Technical Services Division at Dolphin Energy. The work involves carrying out a risk based assessment of t he
process with regard to Asset Integrity & Inspection, Engineering, Minor Projects and Docu ment tracking system.
This was followed by testing of controls in place for managing these risks, identifying the gaps and suggesting process
improvements.
HR Operations Review in Occidental Petroleum: Reviewed the 5 key HR processes – Recruitment, On-boarding,
Administration, Termination and Data Privacy & Security, for the Middle East operations of the international E&P
firm. After an analysis of the gaps with respect to process efficiency, suggested recommendations for process
improvement.
Review of ‘Procure to Pay’ Process of Shelf Drilling: Carried out process review of the Procure to Pay Cycle of Shelf Drilling
which specializes in the operations of Jack up rigs. Identified the process gaps and subsequently gave
recommendations for improvement across the procurement, logistics and account pa yable functions within the firm
Review of Commercial Drilling Division of ZADCO (Zakum Development Company ): Carried out a review of Commercial
Drilling Team activities to evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control processes
within the division. As per the results of the review recommendations were prepared for strengthening the controls to
safeguard company’s assets and resources

waste management, sewerage and sanitation and urban transport.
Explored the potential for private sector participation in water/wastewater s ector in eight states of India, for an
international funding agency in Japan. Also designed a roadmap for Japanese companies to enter this sector in India.
