Engineering Project Manager, 2010 – 2014
Initiated, planned, executed, and closed major construction projects of up to $22M in total project cost. Drafted weekly
project status reports providing clear and concise information of the project status. Clearly communicated to stakeholders
through email, phone, and in person meetings utilizing the project communication plan. Coordinated the logistics of $1M
in commodities monthly, directed workplace safety, reviewed P&L’s, and coordinated public affairs activities. Prepared
RFP’s for manufacturing equipment installations. Selected skilled sub-contractors to perform emergency building and/or
manufacturing equipment repair at recycling facilities nationwide. Hired and managed up to 100 employees during plant
commissioning’s. Developed solutions that maximized the amount of value captured from the recycling stream, such as
the installation of additional magnets to collect tin from a waste line resulting in over $10K per year in positive EBIT
impact at one site. Managed up to 10 projects simultaneously and accounted for $30M in total capital funding each year.
Maintained records and historical files for projects inclusive of costs, emails, contracts, photos, and equipment manuals.
Tracked issues and identified risks thereby eliminating or minimizing any delays. Consulted on new business
opportunities and municipal contract compliance questions. Worked from sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals to
direct equipment installations and/or routine maintenance. Provided regulatory reports to municipalities on waste
diversion and waste composition audits. Mediated disputes between clients and vendors, obtaining warrantied repairs or

Responsible for approving and/or denying all spending vouchers related to the federal grant and forecasting the monthly
budget based off of expenditures. Developed and recommended solutions based off the program’s strengths and
weaknesses. Identified a need for more challenging internships and then developed a relationship with CNC machining
companies to place several high functioning and skilled participants into internship opportunities. Maintained detailed
records of participants, funding expenditures, and experiences for federal agency tracking purposes. Communicated
verbally and by publishing bi-monthly reports for the Workforce Development Council. Made regular presentations to
community business partners keeping them apprised of the program’s performance.
