University of Tulsa: Tulsa University Delayed Coking Project (TUDCP)- Pilot Unit Studies/Quench Model 2011-2013
Worked with professors Keith Wisecarver on quench model, extending to all kinds of coke morphologies.
Simulated cooling process for TOTAL, ExxonMobil and Phillips 66; Made quench model industrially available.
Obtained the capillary pressure measurements for coke samples from Core Laboratories, proving the accuracy
of the quench model through analyzing the experimental results.
Accomplished correlations between simulation results and crude oil characters, operation condition s.
University of Tulsa: Multiple Systems Design Projects- Aspen HYSYS Simulation 2012
Design of Natural-gas Liquids Recovery Plant: Simulated the NGL-recovery process to prevent hydrate
formation with two different methods.
Crude Unit Design Project: Optimized the Alba crude refinery process with a heat exchangers network
Diesel Hydrotreater Unit Design Project: Simulated and evaluated the economic factors of the unit.
Researched, wrote, and presented a professional technical report to analyze and compare the methods.
China University of Petroleum, State Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil Processing - 3DOM Carbon Project 2011
Produced 3DOM carbon materials with uniform pore size as supports for catalysts or electrode materials.
Qilu Petrochemical Company of China Petrochemical Co.; P.R. China – Master Control Room Operator Intern 2010
Operated the main computer in the master-control room; inspected oil refinery in three shifts daily.
Assigned full Chemical Engineer responsibilities, including risk mitigation for the oil refinery.
China University of Petroleum, State Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil Processing – Atmospheric Research
2010
Researched occurrence of asphaltene precipitation in Middle East Atmosphere Middle East Atmospheric
Residue through mass fraction normalized conductivity with Prof. Longli Zhang.
Measured the electrical conductivity of Middle East Atmospheric Residue continuously diluted by n-heptane.
China University of Petroleum – Multiple Chemical Experiments 2007-2011
Completed a variety of experiments like purification, conjugation, separation with laboratory reagents.
Used plenty of cutting-edge lab equipments like GC-MS, Spectroscopy to conduct experiments, perform tests,
collect data, and develop accurate reports.
Awards: Third Prizes in the National Olympic Chemistry and Biology Competitions; P.R. China (2006)
