(MATERIALS RECOVERY FACILITY) CAPABLE OF RECYCLING 200 TONS PER DAY OF

MIXED CONSUMABLE RECYCLABLES - PAPER, CARDBOARD, GLASS, ALUMINUM,

STEEL, PET, HDPE. THIS DESIGN WAS IMPROVED UPON, AND HAS BECOME THE

INDUSTRY STANDARD. PROJECT VALUATION: $8 MILLION

Waste Management - Directed the development of the company's first

landfill gas extraction site, and found a customer to utilize the

methane gas to produce ice for commercial use. Project valuation: $1.3

million, Resource sale: $130K/year.

Waste Management - Acted as project manager in the construction of

three waste transfer/bail centers in Philadelphia, St. Louis, and

Oklahoma City. Sourcing equipment, and obtaining municipal permits.

Citi Bank - Construction manager for three 198K s.f. call center

buildings located in Greensboro, NC; Louisville KY; and Boise ID.

Sourced, and negotiated on a group and site bases for all HVAC,

equipment, landscaping, and interior finishes. Project valuation:

Citi Bank - Project manager for the sighting, and development of 64

branch bank facilities located in the Mid Atlantic, Florida, Texas,

and California. Negotiated lease/land purchase, and retrofitting

existing buildings to adhere to local historical and esthetics

standards. Project valuation: $ 5.2 Million

Citi Bank - Acting as resource, and procurement manager in the

development of three state of the art Data Centers: Dallas TX - 147K

s.f. (LEED Gold), Denton TX - 155K s.f. (LEED Gold), and Frankfort

Germany - 177K s.f. (LEED Platinum). Each DC is at a minimum N3, and

with the Frankford DC's designation as N4. All sites utilize

geothermal cooling, vegetative roofing, and earth sheltered

construction, and the DC's have maintained a 1.12 to 1.17 PUE (power

SEARS ROEBUCK & CO. - PROJECT MANAGER FOR WHOLE HOUSE RELAMPING IN 15

MTN (3rd largest Cellular services provider globally) South Africa -

Acted as SME and procurement director for relamping (lighting upgrade)

project involving 13 DC's, and six corporate office buildings.

Project involved converting all fluorescent/incandescent fixtures

(including outdoor accent and parking lighting) to LED with similar or

improved luminosity. Solar panels were installed on rooftops, and on

parking lot canopies to power all lighting, and office equipment.

Software integration was designed to marry with solar power storage,

building BMS systems, and the existing grid.

Zigbee wireless internet controllable smart plugs were utilized on

small appliances, and kitchen equipment. Access and on/off times were

programmed for maximum efficiency Expense savings: $2.4

million/year, Project ROI: 1.7 years

MTN South Africa/Continental Africa/Middle East - Pilot Project (100

sites) Project designed to incorporate solar, wind, and grid power in

24,000+ BTS sites (base transceiver station - cellular towers),

provide power usage, air conditioning, equipment status, and battery

stability monitoring using cellular technology platforms. Part of

this project involved sourcing AC/DC air conditioners with variable

BTU outputs. Project valuation: Confidential

Rio Tinto Alcan - The project objectives included: Reduce energy use

by a minimum of 12% in smelting operation, complete asset monitoring -

mined raw materials to finished product and tracking to customer,

control and monitor set points on all equipment, provide alarms and

warnings, and provide a Weltanschauung (worldview) of all operations.

The project design needed to be scalable to 16 global facilities, and

to include emissions monitoring, environmental, sustainability

management and stakeholder reporting capabilities.

A software solution was deployed that integrated existing & added

individual equipment meters, over 800 wireless operation specific

sensors, existing production monitoring systems, and seven building

BMS systems to produce a single screen view of the operation. An

additional software solution integration was deployed to SAP and IBM

MIS applications that provided ISO 50001 capabilities. Project

valuation $2.4 million, ROI: 2.5 years

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) - Part of Development

team for: "EnergyPlus" - a BIM based construction software

application that models buildings from the ground up, or from existing

CAD/flat line drawings to establish the most efficient operating

structure. Physical building placement, geographical location,

building envelope materials, mechanical equipment sizing, lighting,

and potential occupancy are woven into a program that will provide

detailed daily/monthly/yearly operating costs for all utilities based

on prevailing rates, and provide LEED and Energy Star score

calculations. Existing building retrofits can be calculated scored,

and load balanced to insure maximum efficiency.

Developed the business model for ASHRAE, DOE, and OEM equipment

developers to contribute detailed CAD drawings and tested performance

characteristics of available mechanical equipment to be entered into

the EnergyPlus Library. This would provide architects and developers

the most advanced energy efficient equipment available.

BUPA Healthcare - The project consisted of providing with a

comprehensive baseline report of all IT infrastructure components and

their relationship to business services across 18 global data center

sites, providing a clear understanding of Run and Change costs,

establish sufficient cost granularity to determine data centre and

select Business Service costs, and physically consolidating the DC's

to four sites. Part of the initial assessments was to benchmark BUPA

data usage, and occupied space to their sector peers.

Each individual market was analyzed based on the key needs of BUPA's

clients, and support peripherals such as storage, backup and archive costs

were validated. Project valuation: $3.2 million, Cost savings $2.3

million/year
