MPI is a publically owned vehicle and driver licensing corporation servicing over 1.5M residence generating $210M+

in revenues annually.

Program Director sub-contracted by HP Canada to oversee and provide leadership for the sub-projects

within this multi-million dollar Business Transformation Office program. Achievements include:

Recovered over $1.0M in the program budget by adjusting implementation strategies, working with

vendors to refine process and re-aligning the project timelines and scope priorities.

Managed the project teams responsible for stakeholder communications and for delivering QA and

Performance testing metrics for critical business systems required to support the data center relocation

from Winnipeg to Toronto.

Managed the realignment of a distressed project while providing direction to the project teams

responsible for the design, test, build and transition two remote high availability Data Center ’s

impacting 92 business critical applications.

Managed the design and integration of two Application Delivery Controllers to support the disaster

recovery environments and business continuity / DR planning required to meet 99.99% application

availability.

Providing leadership to project managers and project teams responsible for the design, test, and

implementation of the VMware/Hyperic Centralized Monitoring project.

As a Senior Project Consultant and member of the Marketing Product and Services Development team I

was responsible for providing direction and strategic planning to the Marketing Business executives for

the development of new telecom products and services projects . Responsibilities included:

Managing fast pace projects requiring quick turn-a-round, new product development, and branding and

service development teams.

Providing direction to organizational project managers and cross functional specialty teams supporting

develop and deployment of new products or services for public consumption.

Consulting with Marketing Business group to plan and coordinate the release of new products and

services to the public.

WINNIPEG REGIONAL HEALTH DATA CENTER UPGRADE AND 2012

AUTHORITY WINDOWS 7 UPGRADE

Healthcare provider with an annual operating budget of $2.1B, servicing 700K+ residents and 24K+ staff.

Senior Consultant engaged in this critical Data Center upgrade sub-project as the key delivery

stakeholder in the design and implementation of multiple upgrades to the e -Health infrastructure. Directed

and managed infrastructure integration teams for the development of a “PHIA” compliant RIS/PACS

interoperability data center that shares diagnostic imaging information between AGFA, SIEMENS and

Fujitsu PACS systems.

Recovered over $200k in savings by effectively managing the development and implementation .

Managed the Windows 7 upgrade project team in the development of end user impact analysis and risk

management plan then executing pilot site implementations and user training for the corporate wide

implementation of the Windows 7 operating system upgrade from Windows XP.

Managed risk assessment and strategic planning on large-scale upgrade program for 18,000 users, 95

sites, and 1000+ “COTS” and compatible/non-compatible clinical applications across the WHRA.

One of Manitobas largest teaching hospitals with over 180 departments and services and over 4,000

health care professionals.

Senior consultant providing leadership to the implementation teams required to support the design and

build of a “PHIA” compliant, high-availability/redundant tier 4 data center server and network infrastructure

environment.

Recovered $750K in savings resulting from effective planning and early delivery, effective vendor

negotiation and closely managed functional design and integration processes.

Managed the development of a disaster recovery solution that protected the Allscripts Electronic

Patient Records environment (EPR).

2007 – 2010 $17M

DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES OF PROVINCIAL RIS/PAC

M ANITOBA INTEGRATION

A non-profit corporation, specializing in public diagnostic imaging and laboratory services for 77 sites,

servicing 1.2M+ residents.

Senior Delivery Consultant sub-contracted by IBM Global Services for this province wide digital

radiography integration project. Managed solution designed for the Tier IV primary data center and a Tier

III secondary data center. Provided leadership to the project integration and planning teams delivering the

disaster recovery solution, provincial network infrastructure, and all new provincial support models for the

AGFA and SIEMENS Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication

System (PACS).

Stakeholder impact included 1.2M residences, 5000 medical and clinical staff and 12 health regions by

mediating environmental change and governance with regional executives and clinical support teams.

Recovered $600K in capital cost-savings for provincial RIS/PACS Project through development of

multiple time- and budget-resource allocation plans, re -purposing assets and successful negotiation of

vendor support contracts.

Managed the design and implementation of the core data center synchronization and alignment with

regional data stores covering 15 primary care hospitals and 58 ancillary health centers ensuring end -

to-end interoperability via Provincial Data Network (PDN).

Managed the organizational change management team to provide overviews for development and

deployment of operational process/workflow change.

development. Manage the evergreen build and transition-to-production of a Tier IV Primary Data Center

and Tier III Secondary Data Center. Managed and mobilized project teams in partnership with IBM Global

Services and Bruns-Pak Data Center design specialists.

Recovered over $300K in cost-savings for client through adept planning and prudent negotiation for

vendor procurement and support services.

Successfully transitioned the new environment into production and managed the technical and

operation change.

Provided client with support agreements, service level agreements and a three -year technology

secondary data centers; consolidation of 235 distributed site data stores, upgrading 16,000+ user

environments and transformation of 2000 distributed printers and 2000 applications into the centralized

data centers.

Power Corporation – is a publically traded Fortune 500 company specializing in financial investments and

insurance.

Senior Project Consultant responsible for initiating, resourcing, developing and executing implementation

plans for managing the delivery of multi-million dollar, multi-facility IT infrastructure projects for the

financial services division with associated offices across Canada as well as in US, China, UK, and

Ireland. Most systems involved were identified as ‘mission critical’ and required internationally planned

and coordinated outages during transition.

Planning and managing the decommissioning of the IBM out-sourced Tier III data center, relocating and

consolidating 106 ‘mission critical’ financial, investment, WEB and operational servers to the client ’s

primary data centre.
