Responsible for multiple manufacturing site quality organizations across the US, Germany, and Spain. Products

manufactured at these locations include life support systems (oxygen products, crew, and passenger) and galley

inserts (espresso makers, coffee makers, water boilers, beverage cups).

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Developed rolling three (3) year Strategic Plans with Senior Leadership Teams to provide cohesive cross -

functional initiatives to drive and support financial commitments to the corporation for both Life Support

Systems and Galley Inserts businesses

Championed Business Management System standardization across the US, Germany, and Spain facilities to

manage the day-to-day manufacturing operations compliant to AS9100/EN9100 standards for both Life

Support Systems and Galley Inserts organizations

Collaborated with Quality Leaders across the corporation to share "best practices", drive standardization

of Quality Metrics, and develop strategic initiatives driven by Quality

Shored-up Quality organization to support start-up of Everett, WA facility responsible for final assembly of

Implemented Global Supplier Quality Management/Development organization located in US, Germany,

and China to improve supply base performance, support company’s low-cost strategic initiatives, and

material cost reduction efforts

Supported Supply Chain Organization in reduction of overall supply base from 578 suppliers to 320 over

2-year period using Risk Based Analysis Tools; Supplier OTD and Quality performance improved from

85% and 88% to 96% and 97% respectively over the same

SCHWEIZER AIRCRAFT CORPORATION 06/2008 – 06/2010

Managed multiple site product integrity inspections, quality assurance engineering, process engineering, internal

audits, document control, aviation flight safety, metrology/calibration, receiving inspection, supplier quality

assurance, and process/continuous improvement programs utilizing the ACE tools and operating system .

Utilized the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) business operating system to align site metrics

throughout the organization, to transform existing culture into a continuous improvement culture

Successfully championed ACE Bronze medallion submission for both the Schweizer East and Schweizer

Developed/implemented Supplier Quality improvement program to stabilize product from our suppliers

ECLIPSE AVIATION (Start-up Company) 08/2006 – 01/2008

Managed multiple site supplier quality assurance, manufacturing quality inspection, quality assurance

engineering, internal audits, document control, metrology/calibration, receiving/inspection, satellite repair

stations, and process/continuous improvement programs.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Spearheaded the Production Certificate process within Eclipse Aviation

Developed/implemented Quality Operating System and Quality Manual in compliance with AS9100 and

FAR 14 CFR Part 21

Implemented process improvement programs throughout Eclipse Aviation, resulting in the safe and

efficient production of 104 aircraft, 98 of which were delivered in 2007

Developed and deployed the business quality metrics for the company, resulting in increased customer

satisfaction, improved supplier performance, improved design change cycle time, reduced errors, and

reduced scrap/rework costs associated with cost of poor quality

MEDTRONIC 05/2004 – 08/2006

Global Director Released Product Quality

Managed the returned product analysis, release product reliability, customer complaint database management,

and product performance communication across multiple manufacturing sites for the Cardiac Rhythm and

Disease Management (CRDM) business with revenues that exceeded $4B.

Supported design, supply chain, and manufacturing organizations; provided resources to assist in the

design reviews, new product introduction phase, product/process characterization, process capability

studies, and over all component qualification and validation processes

Led a cross-functional team to develop ‘The Battery Usage Tool”, a PC-based application that reads and

extracts relevant battery usage data from a patient save-to-disk file obtained by interrogating the device

memory

Launched 1st interactive product performance/reliability report on the web, considered to be best-in-class

for the medical device industry
