2009

Developed and led rail seat business partnership between American Seating

and Grammer Inc. Led a team of Engineers, manufacturing personnel,

customer consultants, governmental regulators and politicians to win

contracts, pass testing and deliver safe, stylistic seating systems to

train builders.

. Researched and developed a manufacturing process for silicone foam which

replaced urethane foam in the rail seat resulting in reduced costs,

increased seat life and lowered flammability.

. Managed a team of over 20 people from 4 departments to interface with the

customer and consultants.

. Developed a train seat using existing components configured in a new

design that met strength and flammability requirements.

GRAMMER INC. National New Business Sales Manager

1999 - 2004

Hired to develop new North American seating systems using existing company

components from around the globe. Travel was required to Europe, the

Middle East, Asia and South America to develop relationships with the

engineers and find parts that could be used in North America. Designed

and oversaw testing and set up manufacturing of the seat systems in North

America.

. Created a self contained air suspension seat for GM pick-ups using

modified production seat parts that was highlighted by GM at a national

auto show.

. Partnered with component companies to develop and manufacture the first

North American sprayable urethane seat utilizing soy based foam for John

Deere.

1999

Michigan Seat Company was the largest North American seat manufacturer for

lawn and garden equipment. Developed new customers and maintained current
