Maxim’s Caterers Ltd - Food & Beverage Arm of the Dairy Farm Group with over 800 stores
and 20,000 staff in Hong Kong, China and Vietnam. 2013 Annual sales
were over US$1.5 billion
- Transferred to this position to build up consolidation and financial
reporting framework, and to improve cash management
Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting (June 2010 to Present)
- Led Corporate Accounting team and reported directly to Corporate Controller, and in charge of
the consolidated financial and management reporting of the Group
Financial reporting and taxation (50%)
- Led and set up internal team to handle Group consolidation and financial reporting
- Managed monthly consolidated management reporting package to board of directors
- Drove and developed Group financial analyses for top management decisions and long term
plans
- Managed tax reporting to Tax authority in Hong Kong and tax planning of the Group

Key achievement:-
Took in charge of statutory consolidation of Maxim’s Group from Pricewaterhouse Coopers
in 2011. In return, Group audit fee was reduced by 10% and time required for year end
reporting was shortened by 5 days to only 10 working days
Treasury (50%)
- Responsible for over-viewing treasury matters of the Group, and monitoring cash positions of
different countries
- Led treasury initiatives and other projects to improve cash flow processes and operation
efficiency
- Monitored and managed foreign exchange position of the Group and formulated hedging plans
- Piloted projects to reduce assets employed and increase yield on surplus cash

manage banking relationship, surplus cash and foreign exchange hedging
Key achievements:-
Substantially increased interest income of Maxim’s Caterers Ltd by four folds to over
HK$20million within two years through reducing excessive assets employed, streamlining
cash receipt and payment processes, better cash flow planning, working closely with
bankers on setting up cash pooling
Established standardized treasury guidelines, governance and reporting from scratch, which
increased transparency and efficiency of treasury operations
In charge of a pioneer project with Standard Chartered Bank on “Virtual bank account”
which improved cash receipt process and significantly reduced occurrence of unknown cash
deposits
In charge of a project to streamline processes on recovery of rental deposits and
substantially reduced outstanding deposit balance by 70% or HK$40 million
The Dairy Farm Company Ltd - a Listed FMGC Group in Asia Pacific (2009 annual sales:
