Led a team of 109 hourly and 9 salaried employees who shipped over $350

million of finished products and received, stored, and delivered to

production over $230 million in parts.

o Led a cross functional team that set up a warehouse controlled storage

program so each part is scanned in and out of stocking locations giving

real time knowledge of where every part is located.

o Implemented bar code receiving which reduced receiving time by over 60%.

o Developed a visual ordering and flow system that reduced designated part

inventory by 30%

o Managed the entire process for service parts from procurement/purchasing

of all parts, to production and shipping of the item to the customer.

Increased on time shipping from 61% to 94% by implementing a Lean

Operational Excellence Gemba Board process.

o Negotiated a heat exchanger outsourcing project that would save over

$1.13 million per year.

o Set up agreements with vendors that reduced plant obsolescence and scrap

by 18%.

Purchasing/Procurement Manager: Led a team of twelve buyers and planners

that purchased over $230 million dollars in parts and raw material.

o Negotiated over 5% in price reductions by data mining and using the data

United States Army, Captain, Combat Engineer

April 1999 - April 2007

Military Transition Team Engineer Advisor: Manned, trained, equipped and

mentored a 142 man Iraqi Engineer Company and a 106 man Iraqi Bomb Disposal

Company. Managed $2.4 million in contracts for a 27 person U.S. team living

on an Iraqi Army compound.

o Planned and executed training that increased Engineer Company combat

effectiveness from 0% to 72%, 22% over goal and two months ahead of

schedule.

o Expanded Bomb Disposal Company from 35% to 90% combat effective, 20%

above requirement; awarded Bronze Star and Combat Action Medal for

"Extraordinary" results.

o Negotiated contracts with Iraqi contractors resulting in 16% savings or

$400,000 on $2.5 million spend

Advisory Team Chief: Manned, trained, equipped, organized, and mentored a

600 man Iraqi Border Force led by an Iraqi Brigadier General on the

Syrian/Jordanian borders.

o Conducted negotiations between Syrian/Iraqi customs officials which

solved a humanitarian and security crisis along the border.

o Expanded span of control from 22 miles to 180 miles, exceeding 120 miles

requirement; resulted in smuggler arrests, vehicles confiscations and

weapons/explosives cache discoveries.

Assistant Public Affairs Officer: Planned/executed public affairs

operations for US Forces in Iraq Command, Office of Secretary of Defense,

and Interim Iraqi Government. Executed media events providing positive

images of detainee operations for 10 million Americans.

Unit Movement Coordinator: Coordinated and tracked movement of 300

vehicles, 80 trailers, 25 generators, and equipment for a 900 person

engineer brigade in Germany.

o Led the plan development to move the brigade from Germany to Iraq using

land, rail, sea, and air transportation.

o Implemented new tracking software that resulted in real time location of

all equipment as it moves.

o Developed new training management system that resulted in a 100% training

rating for the brigade.

Executive Officer/Platoon Leader: Second in command of a 67 person

headquarters company in Germany. Provided combat engineer support for 3,500

person armored brigade, employing and maintaining 23 vehicles and

equipment.
