SUMMARY
I am a hardworking young man who is looking to obtain all the knowledge and give all the help
that
he can. Very soon I will be traveling to Alaska for the summer and I am looking for seasonal
seafood processing jobs.
Based off of my previous experience I am adequately able to work in a focused, driven, fast-paced
work environment for long periods of time.
I am also knowledgeable in correct food preparing temperatures and proper storing
conditions to ensure cross contamination does not occur.
Furthermore, I am also well versed in various cleaning techniques such as sanitizing, and
cleaning food handling surfaces properly so as to avoid contamination of foods. I am also quite
experienced in a warehouse type setting, receiving shipments, loading and unloading docks,
running inventory, using a pdt, etc.
I can multi task quite well and I learn fast. If there is something I am not entirely
familiar with at the start, I will be within a day or so. I am always trying to find the
fastest, safest, and most efficient ways to get things done, and once I have
found it I become a fast working, multi tasking powerhouse.
EXPERIENCE
Closer(grill), Mcdonalds Corporation
Yucaipa, CA July, 2012-September,
2013
My responsibilities as a grill person/closer includes stocking freezers and
refrigerators, cooking various types of food, stocking condiment tables, filling
orders, wiping and sanitizing the grill area, counting inventory and waste,
closing the grills, washing dishes, and preparing the store for the next morning.
Accomplishments
As a closer, I, unlike most other workers, am required to work with minimal
help, while simultaneously making orders and closing the store in a timely
fashion. This position is reserved for only the most skilled workers. A title which I had held since
my first day.
Receiver, Barnes & Noble Booksellers
Redlands, CA November, 2013- January, 2014
November, 2014 – January, 2015
As a temp I was required to learn the multifaceted trade of receiving and shipping large orders of
books in quite a short period of time. As a receiver my job mostly consisted of carrying large
boxes of books, opening them, scanning the box and the books with a PDT and stocking them in
the appropriate module. The job itself was equally pressing in that I was required to meet a quota
every day of receiving ten boxes an hour, which I had down within my first week.
During my stay at Barnes and Noble I also acquired many other skills including how to use a
register and make purchases, and how to properly file order forms and shelving logs.
Riley’s Farm
Oak Glen, CA - March, 2014- June 2014 (Seasonal)
Working at Riley’s farm makes for a, well a rather interesting work experience. My daily duties
were to dress up as a colonial from the Revolutionary War, and teach groups of school children
while remaining in character throughout the day. Working here has provided me with new talents
and experiences such as acting, improvisation, and the enigmatic skill of being able to deal with
rowdy children. Aside from this I was also tasked with handling food for the children and also
committing to some general labor at the end of the day (clean restrooms, pick up trash, take out
trash etc.)
The Home Depot, Redlands RDC #5087
Redlands, CA- February, 2015- Present (Seasonal)
My tasks at this warehouse include receiving various type of freight from distributors (Dewalt,
Craftsman, etc.) Scanning the freight and place it on the correct pallet, corresponding to a specific
store. Once a pallet reached eight feet I wrap it up, close it out and load it onto the proper truck for
distribution. It is a demanding, fast-paced work environment which requires an immense amount
of focus and attention to detail.
