Project Experience:

1. WellPoint: It is one of the leading health insurance companies in U.S.

Currently I am working on this project. We are developing a web application using MVC5, Razor syntax, Entity Framework, ASP.NET AJAX and the back end is SQL server 2012. The development process is being powered by latest tools like Visual Studio 2013 and TFS 2013.

My responsibilities are:

• Develop UI, Code the business logic and Create the required database objects.

• Work on complete functionality of screens independently.

• Deploy the application on test servers.

• Create UTP and perform unit testing.

• Understand the requirements through discussion with onsite leads and prepare

requirement documents.

• Worked on Continuous Integration through Jenkins and automated the build, deploy, unit testing, code analysis and email notifications.

2. LabCorp Clinical Trials:

We developed an incredible Clinical Trials Management web application for LabCorp. We used ASP.NET, seven layered architecture and Oracle database for this application. This project imparted me a deep knowledge of clinical trials domain.

My responsibilities include

• Requirement gathering through discussions with SMEs, IT Managers and users.

• Code complete functionality of screens independently.

• Deployment in Production and UAT environments.

• Support UAT and issue/defect analysis and fixing.

• Worked on complex database procedures and functions.

• Worked on various modules of a Clinical Trials Mgmt. System like Production,

Study/Protocol setup, Sample reception, Freezer management, Test Result Processing.

• Developed automated monitoring scripts which testifies the errors in data/processing.

• Take care of production support activities which involve resolving data issues through oracle database.

Independently migrated a .NET framework 1.1 application from IIS6 to IIS7 which empowered

an old application to be more efficient, secure and maintenance free.

3. Allscripts:

I was working on their SFM (Sunrise Financial Manager) application. SFM provides

comprehensive functionality for Revenue Cycle Management for both hospital and hospital- based physician billing.

Technologies used: C#, WPF, WCF, Microsoft SQL server

Responsibilities while working on a project for Allscripts:

• Developed UI of various screens through XAML.

• Worked with senior business consultants to understand the domain & user stories and

then prepared training document for rest of the team.

• Worked on dynamic grid controls and populating them from database.

• Worked with WCF services.

Accomplishments:

• I got the opportunity to have a meeting with the CEO of Infosys Public Services,

Mr. Eric Paternoster and the AVP, Mr. Bhaskar Chakravarty. The meeting was focused on

changes that can be brought within the unit to encourage learnability amongst the employees,

talent rotation and strengthening products.

• Received Engagement Level feedback score of 7/7 from LabCorp. ELF is considered

extremely important at Infosys. Its objective is to evaluate Infosys’ performance, on key aspects, during the project and actionize for continuous improvement.

• Received Infosys KM Champ Award for conducting technology sessions within the

unit.

Corporate Presence:

Infosys InStep Business Plan Competition

Participated in the annual InStep Business Plan Competition where I was working with interns from Harvard University and HEC Paris.

When we were working on our plan, we explored that all the big tech companies are now

maneuvering towards cloud and mobility. So the question for us was how do we thrive in this world, what new innovation can we bring, what we can do to empower patients & hospitals to do more & achieve more, and that’s how we combined Healthcare Analytics with the power of cloud and mobility to create a breakthrough business plan. We believe that this plan has enough potential and capability to define the future of healthcare.

Health Insurance Broker

This BOK describes the role of insurance brokers in healthcare domain. It also explains the role of brokers after health reforms like Obamacare and setting up of an exchange.

This BOK gives an overview of Electronic Health Records, its design principles and various models.
