Distributor sales of electrical, light plumbing, pneumatic, low pressure hydraulic; valves, cylinders, FLR’s, fittings for

Electrical / Mechanical
Shop and field service of electric motors and controls. Rewinding and redesign of single, three phase and DC electric
motors. Trouble shoot dismantle repair and reassemble, electrical and mechanical equipment and machinery. Update
electrical services, select design and build control circuits. Repair of equipment including welding and machining of parts
as needed. Make and fit bushings, shafts and housings, use of oxy- acetylene and electric arc to weld and braze, operate
engine lathe, drill press and Bridgeport mill. Proficient in electrical power circuits up to 480 volts. I have attended classes
in NEC updates, along with pneumatics, hydraulics and welding. Installed and maintained electrical circuits, piping for
air, water and gas lines, selected, purchased and installed tools.

Supervise daily activity of Aftermarket /Spare Parts sales department. Monitoring system and customer pricing levels to
assure profitability, review daily, weekly and monthly sales and open order reports for shortages creating delays in
shipment. Work with purchasing and production to correct errors and improve processes, analyze part usage and purchase
history to recommend reorder points and economical purchase quantities. Work with customers maintaining friendly and
professional relationships to further business growth. Assist purchasing and engineering with sourcing needed parts for
new or obsolete equipment. Prepare quotes and Proforma Invoices for domestic and international clients, obtained through

manager, becoming responsible for the daily functioning of warehouse, delivery and administrative personnel. Monitored
inventory through daily cycle counts, open order reports, nightly branch stock transfers. Worked with purchasing
department to establish or correct product stocking levels through report analysis. Hired, trained and scheduled personnel
based on work load and need, performed annual performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed. Monitored and
or performed facility, grounds, equipment and vehicle maintenance and security.

I started as a teenager performing building and grounds maintenance for our family owned Electric Motor repair
business. At the same time learning and developing skills and knowledge in electrical and mechanical repair and service.
I continued on after graduation as an electrical and mechanical technician performing in house and field service. My
duties included motor repair, rewinding and redesign, control circuit troubleshooting, repair, modification and design.
Mechanical repair of pumps, for potable water systems, circulation, irrigation and sewage, repair and replacement of gear
drives, seals, bearings, hoists, power tools, compressors and generators. Welding and machining of various components,
using tools such as a drill press, Bridgeport mill and engine lathes. To learn business practices I spent time performing
office functions in AR/AP, job costing, quoting, invoicing, vendor warranty processing, inventory analysis, control and
purchasing. All experiences which help me to continue the business after my father’s death in 1982 until it sold in 1988
and my departure in 1992.
