EXPERIENCE

Zerep Management Corporation (2013 – Present)

Environmental, Health & Safety Corporate Manager. Responsible for implementing and managing all

environmental, health and safety programs for 4 related companies managing solid waste collection and

recycling centers, construction and landscaping (VVS, Grand Central Recycling (MRF), VGS & MMI).

Fleet safety management included (150 trucks). Achievement highlights: 1) Reduced injury rate by 62%

the first year alone; 2) developed the strategy to close all WC claims for 2013; 3) Successfully managed

OSHA investigation that resulted on no citations, no fines; 4) insurance brokers use our safety program as

model for other similar companies.

BOHSS Inc./Alcoa Fastening Systems (2009 – 2013)

Provided professional on site consulting services to Alcoa Fastening Systems as Senior Health & Safety

Consultant. These services were designed to be location specific for multiple facilities to meet and exceed

regulatory requirements to reduce lost time, mitigate emergencies and decrease liabilities. Health and

safety specific training in English and Spanish were provided. Examples of services provided:

Implementation and management of Alcoa Corporate EHS programs (70 programs)

Audits: Wall-to-wall safety audits and pre-audits –Hazmat, electrical, LOTOVY, at-risk behaviors, etc.

OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001: Training/coaching for upper management on H&SMS and EMS.

Self Audit Coaching for Single Appointed Persons (SPAs) for multiple EHS programs.

Audit gap remediation

Training: Creation of training matrix and delivery of bilingual training of all pertinent Federal, State and

Corporate required trainings –OSHA, EPA, DOT, AES, NEC, NFPA, etc.

Technical support – A large variety of consulting services encompassing hazard assessments, HazCom

Alcoa Fastening Systems/Aerospace (2008-2009)

Worked as the Safety Engineer providing technical support to the Environmental Health & Safety

EHS Corporate Audit (ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001) –Created and led the strategy and approach to the

Audit Self Assessment Tool (ASAT) and provided STARS computer program training for all SPAs; served

as coach/facilitator to all SPAs. Facility received the “EHS Most Achieved Facility” Award that year.

Job Safety Analysis –Conducted JSAs for machines and operations such as the CNCs, press robots,

automated wash line, evaporator, surface grinders, and other industrial machinery.

Contractor Evaluation Pre-Qualification –Reviewed qualifications for diverse contractors for project

approval. Met with approved contractors to review and approve safety plans for capital and production

projects.

PEHSER –Contributed to the Project Environmental Health and Safety Review (PEHSR) for diverse

MSDS Search Computer Center -Created Tutorial and all supporting teaching material for the MSDS

Dolphin Computer Search System and provided training for managers and supervisors.

Field Safety Manager

Complete responsibility for the safety of all field personnel and operations of 6 affiliated companies,

overseeing 4 satellite offices and 4 levels of internal personnel including 4 General Superintendents, 11

superintendents, 80 foremen and 850 field employees.

Achievements:

Revamped field safety program that resulted in a 30% reduction in accidents compared to the

previous year.

Intense one-to-one and in group hazard awareness training covering 100% of field employees.

Helped transition the safety program into a safety culture among employees.

Parent company reduced 3 times its incidence occurrence and 5 times its losses the first

Worker’s Comp losses were reduced from $1.25 million dollars to $85,000 the next 2

which adjusters, doctors, WC administrators, lawyers, and PIs worked together as a team to
