DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

4 Coordinate the transport by crewboat for the passenger and small stores to the dredger and vessel,

responsible for the safety of all passengers

5 Coordinates with the Water Boss all system happen in the project especially relevant to dredging

operation, informing the Superintendent regarding safety and the situation of their respective vsl

• Monitoring of all vessels working in the project,given information to all boat and ships regarding the

box anchor of cutter dredger and other obstruction that can cause accident.

• Making contact with vessels on VHF radio system and for emergency cases, also coordinate to the

office and superintendent regarding on-signers and off signers crew schedule.

• Coordination in Helicopter Operation and Workboat operation

• Communicate with ships, vessel agents, operations dept, marine services providers in order to plan

and execute vessel berthing and sailing process

• Ensure all AtoN (FWB,buoys channel, beacons and leading lights) are working condition

• Initiate security message by VHF or Mail to all vessels at the vicinity and vessel agents for any

immediate navigation or safety hazards

• Respond to emergency situation such as distress, marine pollution and other abnormal

• Maintenance of the ISM files and documents, abstract of email, satphone and fax.

• Inventory control and reconciliation for: Victualling stocks, Bond stocks, Deck/Engine/Cabin

consumables, company official stationary.

• Maintenance and control of videos for training and welfare.

• Preparation of monthly wage accounts and timesheet of offshore personnel.

• Documentation of sign-off personnel required by the company, passport/visa/bookings/schedule of

flight.

• Communication traffic as required and updated weather forecast, communication to land based

station.

• Interview/ Briefing of new hired personnel in Communication Dept.

• Preparation of Port papers and conduct of dealing with port officials

• Assist to the Offshore Logistic and incharge of Satellite Digital Decoder

• Incharge of maintenance of portable VHF helicopter radio, assistance with GMDSS checks &

records

• Arrange the accommodating cabins for on-signer personnel.

• When booking of sign-off personnel got luggage weight and body weight.

• Incharge of incoming/outgoing email messages, internet and satellite telephone communications.

• Communication to chopper and ship’s supply boat servicing the offshore barge / oil rig
