Accomplishments
Responsible for 1200 employees in Trim and Chassis and Product Quality areas. Reduced the injuries in
the areas by approximately 40%. Designed as part of a cross-functional team a series of Chassis Limos that
reduced potential for injuries and increased production. Led a project to pre-qualify contractors performing
shutdown and weekend work to reduce the liability to the company using a third part vendor.

Accomplishments
Ensured facility compliance with all corporate and government EHS regulations, including maintaining ISO
14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification for the largest manufacturing facility within the company. Provided
strategic planning and direction for achieving and maintaining a World-Class EHS culture by leading the
development, implementation and evaluation of all EHS programs and policies in the facility and applying Lean
principles. Managed the EHS budget and staff consisting of an EHS Associate, an EHS Representative, an
Environmental Engineer and three Occupational Health Nurses. Participated as part of the Senior Leadership
Team. Achieved 4,000,000 man-hours without a lost-time injury.
Complex EHS Manager

Accomplishments
Managed Environmental and Safety Programs for the complex which has approximately 2,300 team members
to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local environmental and safety laws and regulations by
conducting, coordinating, and recordkeeping of training in applicable topics.
Environmental duties included NPDES permitted discharges of wastewater and storm water for a full treatment
system. Other duties include, management of spills and the Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures
plan, universal, non-hazardous, and hazardous wastes, implementation of pollution prevention activities,
management of all community right-to-know programs, including Toxic Release Inventory Form R and Form
A, Tier II, and Risk Management Plans, Clean Air Act issues, overseeing water conservation and recycling
efforts, auditing of all environmental programs, and performing other duties as the need arises. The facility has
maintained the program with zero Notices of Violation.
Safety duties include coordinating disaster recovery and contingency plans for all operations within
the complex, auditing of all safety programs, implementation of strategies for accident prevention and
Worker’s Compensation cost management, and maintenance of safety-related programs, including instructor
certification. Other duties include developing training materials and conducting supervisor training and
safety programs, coordinating and conducting annual fire, weather, and chemical spill drills, ensuring proper
completion of incident investigations, ensuring the completion of ergonomic programs, ensuring compliance
with NFPA 101 and 70E, responding to OSHA complaints and inspections, performing asbestos inspections,
facility’s on-site transportation program, manage the emergency response team and ensuring compliance with
Process Safety Management program, contractor safety. The safety program was successful in lowering the
injury rate by 30% and the severity rate by 40% with zero OSHA violations.

Reduced workers’ compensation cost by 93% saving over $400,000 per year. Led the company to records in
man-hours without a lost time injury and man-hours without a recordable injury.
Reduced emissions by 50% from painting operations. The company was able to switch from a required Title
V air permit to a synthetic minor air permit saving the company several thousands of dollars per year. Wasted
material was reduced by 33% by changing process and saving over $20,000 per year with a payback of 3
