T his project is a three thousand seats three level auditorium building. The project
required close coordination with theaterical consultants, lighting designers, architect and
the owner. Performed Load calculations, single line development, sizing of main meter
equipment, sizing of conduits and feeders per NEC 2008, electrical equipment layout,
layout of receptacles, providing power to theatrical equipment & theatrical lights,
calculation of emergency egress foot-candle in common areas, providing general lighting
and power to common & support areas. Coordination with mechanical engineer for
providing power to roof-top air handling units, exhaust fans, chiller; coordinate with
plumbing engineerfor water-heater, fire-pump requirements. Putting together the
electrical specifications and submission to client for pricing.
Large Residential-Commercial Project, Abu Dhabi
T his is a large scale residential-commercial project in Abu Dhabi comprising of 80+
residential bungalows, commercial center and large site.
Schematic Design Document: This phase of the project involed gathering of information
about the varous utility providers like ADDC, study of The Wiring Regulations,
muncipality requirements & ADDC regulations, available electrical systems, coordination
with their utility providers, assessment of site requirements, load calculations,
ascertaining of middle-east market ready switchgear & electrical systems, sizing of main
11kV switchgear system and down-stream requirements. Putting together the
specifications per the Abu Dhabi Wiring Regulations conforming to the British Standard.
Construction Design Document: This phase required receiving & understanding the
clients' detailed requirements, designing the 11kV-400/230V systemfor the entire site,
designing the single line of the entire power system. For each bungalows included layout
of socket-outlets, seprated extra-low voltage socket outlets, lights per lighting designer
requirements, switches, coodinate location of the main-meter & Final Distribution Board
(main panel), main feeder, earthing, coordinating power requirements for mechanical for
heat-pump, fan-coil system, condensate pump; water-heater, circulating pump from
plumbing, providing outside lighting and socket-outlet in roof areas & entrance per Abu
Dhabi The Wiring Regulations.
The commercial center, required laying of socket-outlets, switched-outlets for freezer &
other equipment, providing power for lighting per lighting designer, coodinating the
location of main panel, providing power & isolator (disconnects) for mechanical air-
