OBJECTIVE
It is my objective, once given the opportunity with a company, to grow to
become a great asset within the organization. It is my aim to be able to
exercise work experiences gained over the years in human resources,
customer service relations, computer operations, telephone operations,

Currently work as the Administrative Assistant to the Assistant
Commissioner of the Operations division of the Department of Correction
providing staff support as necessary, greeting employees and guests, and
corresponding with staff as necessary by telephone, email, and in person.

On October 22 through November 16, 2012, I became the acting Administrative
Assistant 3 to the Chairman of the Tennessee Board of Parole, in addition
to working as the Administrative Assistant 2 to the Executive Director of
the Tennessee Board of Parole (formerly the Tennessee Board of Probation &
Parole), providing staff support. Duties consisted of entering votes of
the Chairman and other Board Members as necessary from hearings that have
been conducted by the Chairman, Board Members, and Hearing Officers for
offenders eligible for hearings in all institutions and county jails
statewide. Other duties consist of preparing timesheets, handling
incoming/outgoing mail, preparing offender files for upcoming hearings,
other clerical duties as needed in addition to the duties currently
performing for the Executive Director. On December 16, 2012, I was promoted
to an Administrative Assistant 3 position to operate as the assistant to
the Chairman of the Parole Board only.
Duties as the Administrative Assistant 2 to the Executive Director
consisted of assisting with preparation for staff meetings and quarterly
Administrative Board meetings with the Board Members of the Parole Board as
well as other office projects that require detailed attention. I was
responsible for preparing Public Notice documents and submitting to persons
of interest for upcoming quarterly board meetings as well as posting
notices in appropriate areas. Also responsible for being a relief person
for the front desk Receptionist as needed for breaks, lunch, and absences.
Other duties consisted of clerical support such as incoming/outgoing mail,
answering telephone, and assisting with computer projects in Microsoft
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Administrative Services Assistant 3
Work as an Administrative Services Assistant 3 with the Programmed
Supervision Unit of the Field Services section of the Board of Probation &
Parole. The Programmed Supervision Unit (PSU) is a specialized unit for a
segment of the offender population in need of a more structured form of
supervision. Responsibilities consist of handling the administrative
function of the PSU section; handling the auditing process of monthly bill
reconciliation for Global Positioning System (GPS) monitoring; maintaining
Excel spreadsheets of offenders' assessments and re-assessments, as needed,
which determines eligibility for GPS monitoring; corresponding with
Probation/Parole Officers in references to discrepancies relating to
assessments and re-assessments being submitted on offenders; generating
necessary reports required. Also responsible for conducting minutes,
dictation and transcription of monthly telephone conference call meetings
for the Field Services PSU (Programmed Supervision Unit) section statewide.

Human Resources Analyst 2
Personnel contact person for Human Resources office of TRICOR (Tennessee
Rehabilitative Initiative in Corrections). Responsible for processing and
auditing timesheets for staff of the department on a bi-weekly basis
through the Data Capture computing system. Also responsible for conducting
payroll audits on a bi-weekly basis to ensure all employees were paid
correctly and timely. Responsible for processing all necessary transactions
on employees such as separations, suspensions/disciplinary actions, new
hires/transfers, promotions/demotions. Additional responsibilities consist
of requesting registers as needed for hiring on Civil Service positions.
Prepare appointment and awareness letters for approval by Department of
Human Resources for appointment of Non Civil Service positions. Works very
closely with contact person with Department of Human Resources in making
sure transactions are approved timely and correctly as necessary.
April 2006 - June 2007 Dept. of Children's

Personnel contact person to process registers as well as other situations
that arise while getting new employees haired for certain divisions within
Children's Services Central Office as well as six Regional Offices and
fourteen Group Homes throughout the state
for the Department of Children's Services. Handle any telephone and email
correspondence with contact persons in Regional Offices and Group Homes.
Responsible for auditing paperwork to be processed for new employees being
appointed from register certifications worked prior to bringing new
employees to work for the department. Correspond with Human Resource
contact persons from other agencies when employees are transferring into
the Department of Children's Services from other state agencies to confirm
effective dates for transfers. Responsible for processing timesheets for
the Human Resources Central Office staff within Data Capture on a bi-weekly
basis. Responsible for processing Suspension transactions and correspond
with the Department of Human Resources to ensure that transactions are
properly approved in the system. Also responsible for processing Separation
transactions on employees Children's Services employees who terminated
employment with the State of Tennessee or transferred to other agencies
within the State of Tennessee and submit to the Department of Human
Resources for final processing.

Personnel Transactions Supervisor
Responsible for performing supervisory duties for the Transactions section
of Transportation's Human Resources headquarters office, which consisted of
three employees. Handled all paperwork to be processed as well as
correspond with the Department of Personnel for transaction approvals.
Responsible for handling all employee transactions paperwork as well as
handle any
inquiries/problems/concerns in reference to personnel matters. Responsible
for auditing requests for registers and processing worked registers to fill
positions such as new appointment of employees,
promotion/demotion/transfers of current employees. Responsible for making
sure necessary information for newly appointed employees was received in a
timely manner.

Responsible for preparation of letters to unfreeze vacant positions within
the Transportation department throughout the state prior to filling
positions. Also responsible of the tracking system of all letters generated
for vacant positions and keeping tracking of all other letters processed
and received within the transactions sections. Responsible for Justice
Study program instituted by the Federal Government inputting information
into a special tracking system of all registers requested to fill vacant
Highway Maintenance Worker 1 and Transportation Assistant 1 positions
monitoring all female and minority applicants interviewed from the
registers. Also responsible for processing requests for registers to be
generated to fill vacant positions by hiring new employees from outside the
department or promotion/demotion/transfers within the department and
forwarding to the necessary divisions requesting registers. Process
registers once decisions have been made to fill the vacant positions or to
cancel the register process if not filling the vacant positions. Generate
weekly reports of position vacancies. Correspond with the Affirmative
Action office with any concerns from registers that were processed for
divisions with discrepancies or questions generated by complaints of the
agency's hiring process.
