Project Title: Supply Chain Management of a Milk Dairy (Mahanand Dairy) (Sep 2013)

Project Description: To understand the complete supply chain of Mahanand Dairy and identify the loopholes

(if any) and suggest ways in which the supply chain could be impr oved in various stages. Responsibility of

improving both the efficiency and effectiveness of the production unit in Gor egaon.

Learnings :

The intricacies and problems faced in the effective running of the company which starts right from the

collection of milk from the cows to the deliver y of milk and milk products to the consumers.

Since Mahanand Dairy is semi-govt. run organization, the quality of workers is sub-standard hence higher

authorities have to work over time to get the best out of these workers.

Project Title: Inventory Management thr ough Va lue Stream Mapping in Ashok Leyland (Feb 2010)

Project Description:

Involved the planning, for ecasting and controlling various inventory levels for ma intaining the right balance

between higher and lower inventory levels to minimize cost, reduce wastage of inventories and loss of or ders.

Associated with how much to or der, when to order and how much is used. Inventories wer e mainly the raw

materials, WIP, parts purchased, components and finished goods.
