Work Experience:
Nippon Seiki International, Ltd. Feb 2013 – Present
Software Systems Engineer - Project Lead (General Motor Vehicles)
• Develop and maintain Systems functional specifications from customer requirements for Instrument Clusters
• Validate embedded software functionality according to specifications and customer requirements by analyzing
CAN data and I2C logs, monitoring MOST communication and report/track SW issues
• Create functional test specifications to document testing performed on software
• Plan, create and maintain all software development schedules to meet customer and manufacturing milestones
• Create and maintain software open issue lists and conduct meetings with the customer to support issue resolution
• Lead assigned projects and ensure that the systems team meets its required deadlines
• Track and report all software issues to the software design team for corrective action
• Create and review EEPROM files for responsible programs before every software release
• Provide field support to General Motors North America, Europe and China to root cause issues
• Mentor and provide guidance to new systems engineers
Magneti Marelli Mar 2012 – Dec 2012
Specialist Engineer Jr.
• Designed, implemented and integrated Embedded SW for Instrument Panel Clusters for hybrid electric
vehicles
• Model based designing using Matlab Stateflow and Altia Design and auto generate C code
• Testing and validation of the customer requirements in the framework of embedded systems
Michigan Technological University Jan 2011 – Mar 2012
Teaching Assistant - Department of Electrical Engineering,
• Presented short lectures on basic electrical concepts and conduct office hours
• Graded HWs and exams for ‘Electric Circuits’, ‘Probability & Signal Analysis’ and ‘Electro Magnetics’ course
• Prepared lab sessions and setup ‘Robotics and Mechatronics’ undergraduate level lab
Academic Projects:
• Developed an embedded control system for hybrid vehicle system using MATLAB Stateflow model-based system
design approach.
• Implemented the I-GUIDE using path planning algorithms with obstacle avoidance along with unique landmark
detections.
• Designed a sensor circuit for a 4WD line mapping robot using MSP430 microcontroller.
• Designed a Vehicle Control System and conducted feasibility study. The unreliability of the subsystems was
calculated using Stochastic Petri Net Package and tested using Generalized Stochastic Petri Nets.
• Designed a security system with a temperature sensor circuit to detect fire, wall breakers to detect intrusion, and a
pair of IR emitter and detector to check for theft. All the sensor outputs are given to the 8051 microcontroller
which is programmed to automatically dial a mobile in case of an emergency.
• Designed a Zigbee based self-healing WSN to switch on/off the appliances at distant places using 8051
microcontroller. Testing and programming of zigbee was done using XCTU.
