Duties and Responsibilites dealt

. Interpretation of drawings and guiding the contractors to execute the

work

. Planning orderly work to welders as per requisition in type of weld

process and service line specified in drawing.

. Executing the work based on ASME B 31.3 or requested code suggested by

client.

. Conducting meeting with the client and discussing the factors

hampering the production and quality in the site.

. Monitoring heat treatments as per WPS and and making its documents

. Monitoring the welder performance production wise as well as quality

wise.

. Resolving the problems of welders while welding, it may regard to

machine or to some materials.

. Executing the work in a manner to achieve highest production being in

the limits of acceptance criteria.

. Maintaining electrode consumption and monitors the quality of the

electrode of every batch of every company. Try to resolve any

complaints with the electrode supplier.

. Monitoring the working of mother oven and holding oven weekly.

. Conducting welder test under the supervision of a third party welding

inspector and offering for test.

. Conduct tool box meeting to minimize the weld defect and to minimize

the raise of NCR.

. Providing proper platform for the welders while at ground or height

for welding and assuring proper safety to them while at work.

. Offering RT and interprets RT film and also PT test based on piping

class

. Checking fit ups and weld visual to ensure the quality.

. Maintain the quality documents and also execution documents and

provide quality analysis to the client

. Prepare field change notes.

. Conducting hydro testing & pneumatic testing.

. Selection of standard supports and fabrication of the same as per the

drawing

. Scrutinize contractor's bills and submit to site in charge

. Apprise the client about progress and quality of work

. Follow up of all non conformance reports (NCR's)

. Preparation of inspection tests packs and makes punch list clearance.
