Intitial position was to manage ferrous scrap
Michigan Region Blend / Operations Manager:
blending processes for shipments to steel mills and foundry's. The engineered heat additions were used to
augment steel melting processes by utilizing lower cost materials to achieve increased yield and better
chemistry controls. I also supervised four employees, shipping approximately 13,000 tons of pre-mixed /
pre-engineered ferrous scrap shipments to steel mills and foundry's in a six state region. Managed the
logistics process in movement of 150 railcars and 400 trucks per month. Assisted melters and stockmen
with bucket charges and steel substitutions for maximizing useage of raw materials and optimizing chemistry,
density and reduced emissions.
