Project Profile
UG Final Year Project: Aerodynamic optimization of NACA 2311 aerofoil by
Particle Swarm Optimization.
NACA 2311 is low speed subsonic aerofoil which has a coefficient of lift
= 0.77 at 0.8 Mach. The shape of the aerofoil has been modified and thus
the value of the lift coefficient has been increased to 0.81 at the same
Mach number.

Post Graduation Project: Tribological Analysis of Titanium Aluminium
Nitrate and Aluminium Chromium Nitrate contacts by FEM Modelling and
stress simulation
Ball on Flat methodology is used for measuring friction at the
interface of mating surfaces. This work uses bearing steel ball which
reciprocates 1 mm forward and backward on substrate. Titanium Alloy
substrate is preserved from wears by coating it with Titanium Aluminium
Nitrate and Aluminium Chromium Nitrate coatings. The effect contact
pressure and shear is examined by adding Chromium interlayer between
substrate and coating interfaces. This work is accomplished by means of
Abaqus software. Titanium Aluminium Nitrate coupled with Chromium inter
layer served as best coating in reducing the wear on Substrate.
