TIMIS Online - Online Accreditation

The National Accreditation Board (NAB) was established by the National

Accreditation Board Law, 1993 (PNDCL 317) to be responsible for the

accreditation of both public and private tertiary institutions, with

regard to the contents and standards of their programmers. This Law

has since been replaced by Act 744 (2007) enacted by the Parliament of

the Fourth Republic.

The National Accreditation Board Online Registration System presents some

features which are frequently used or used anytime someone wants to

register online. To prevent entry of the same data many times by different

users and to manage the main site the setup has been created. This helps

to prevent spelling mistakes as well as redundancy of data. The Setup is

divided into two; General and Accreditation Setups.

A person/organization applying to establish a tertiary institution shall be

required to follow the procedures set out in this document to facilitate

the process of accreditation and the operation of the institution.

The applicant institution shall first seek and obtain affiliation to

operate under the supervision of a recognized mentoring institution which

shall award its certificates before accreditation is granted.

Provides functionality for users to apply for accreditation from the

National Accreditation (TIMIS) online.

TIMIS Online comprises of an admin facing module and a public facing

module.

Accreditation applicants login to the public facing module and complete

forms prepared by NAB. There are 5 stages involved.

Each stage has to be completed and submitted.

The NAB officials login to the Admin facing module to review and accept or
