Sunwest, West Park Place April 2009- Aug 2010
. Taking on the challenge of a facility that had lost its license with
the state multiple times in 2008 and brining back to regulatory
compliance while maintaining a financial balance. Within this past
year at West Park Place we have grown a great working relationship
with the Department of Aging as well as many different case managers
from Family Care increasing census. We have repaired the image and

residents well being.

requiring revisits or financial consequences.
. Working with the Federal and State officials to have hundreds and
thousands of dollars in finds removed from the 2006 survey because of
the progress and advances the state saw occurring in a short time.
The state even took some of the ideas of change and has shared them
with other facilities for the best interest of the residents.
. Set up a marketing program to increase Medicare from 2-4 residents per
month to over 240 day average of Medicare per month with high RUG
scores. As while as worked through strategic planning to increase
Medicaid rates by over $20 per day by assessment and evaluations of
residents in conjunction with target days by Medicaid.
. Established a human resource program that protected the facility
through a hand book development, controlled substance and alcohol
policy and through evaluations and much in between. Reducing
unemployment claims as well as eliminating any claims on harassment or
unfair treatment.
. Marketed for community support and raised over $100,000 in the past
two years for needed internal improvements for the residents. From
small internal fund raisers to large fund raisers such as golf outings
and casino night events.

industry changed to meet community needs as well as improve financial
