LAC Region, managed existing and new market development for Supply Chain,
Purchasing and Distribution logistics. Restructured in-country product
sourcing and development opportunities for all menu items (proteins, buns,
fries, dairy, beverages, condiments, sauces, dressings, paper and
packaging). Oversaw 260 plus restaurants operating in 21 markets.
. Generated actual food cost savings of $1M+ per year for 2010, 2011,
2012, 2013 and 2014. Impact on some Markets was from 0.50% to 4.2 % of
total food and paper costs.
. Opened over 200 restaurants and 12 new markets internationally,
maintaining them with uninterrupted product flow and manageable food
and paper costs.
. Developed local in-country suppliers for beef, buns and poultry,
leveraging them for multi-market distribution, reducing costs by 5% to
7% and generating over $600k in global savings.
. Implemented local cup, bag, and paper suppliers in the LAC Region,
resulting in lowering paper costs 1% to 2.5% in some markets.
. Spearheaded SCM, QA, and R&D projects that involved leveraging with
the Domestic and/or local suppliers, often at no added expense or
additional costs to the LAC markets.
. Implemented first ever Soccer "World Cup Combo Box" used
internationally during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
. Received International "Wendy's Employee of the Year" award for
uninterrupted product supply for beef for the LAC Region during the
"Mad Cow" outbreak.
. Recognized in 2013 by the Asian Pacific Region for outstanding service
in securing uninterrupted product flow for that Region.
. Successfully launched 14 promotions in LAC market for 2014, managing
the product sourcing and delivery to the markets, coinciding with the
U.S. national launches.
. Opened Argentina as the first ever 100% in-country locally sourced
market; no imported items.
