RE:APPLICATION FOR POSITION OF AN IMMIGRATION LAWYER/AGENT
I wish to apply for the above position within your firm. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in law, a
Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from College of Law-Sydney and a Graduate certificate in
Migration Law and Practice from the Australian National University. I also hold a Master degree
in law from South Africa and a Doctoral degree (PHD in Law) from the University of Adelaide. I
am a lawyer with the Supreme Court of Australia. I have more than three years of experience as
Case Officer with the Department of Immigration.
My current and prior experience and skills obtained from the Department of Immigration and the
legal profession will add value in different areas of your firm. I have a particular interest in this
position because of your reputation in the area of Migration Law and other Practice. I have
developed core skills (including legal, migration & case management skills, conceptual and
analytical skills, problem solving skills, research skills, communication skills, organizational and
time management skills, etc). My interpersonal and high level capability skills have been
enhanced in my role as case officer with Immigration, as solicitor with both Batallion Legal &
VLS solicitors, and as a lecturer in law at Charles Sturt University.
In my previous positions, I have ensured work is undertaken by colleagues in a coordinated and
planned way with a focus on achieving a timely outcome. I have a strong client based in the
African community, efficient time management principles which have enabled me to manage
expectations and time frames. I have strong communication and liaison skills which I have used
to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a professional way. As a team
player, I will bring in new ideas and innovation, new clients and personal attributes which will
add value to your business.
Yours Sincerely,
Fritz Ewang.
