Human Resources Generalist, February, 2012 to Present
As the Corporate HR contact, I provide support and guidance for all of our division locations
company wide. I collaborate with over 50 managers in various capacities to determine hiring needs
throughout the organization. My efforts include full cycle recruiting for exempt as well as non
exempt level positions (sales, construction, design, admin, etc.). I represent the company at career
fairs and establish positive relationships with colleges/universities nationwide as well as students
nearing graduation. Some of my other responsibilities include overseeing the performance
management process (90 day, semi annual and annual), leading various wellness initiatives,
conducting new hire orientations, exit interviews, maintaining the HRIS/Payroll system and fostering
ongoing relationships with a workforce of approximately 750 employees.
Key Results:
Researched, recommended and implemented an Applicant Tracking System, cutting the company's
recruiting costs by over $23,000 annually. Transitioned from a manual process to an automated
process, increasing efficiency and branding exposure while also reducing response time.
Consistently met/exceeded monthly “time to fill” quotas by maintaining an average of 40 days,
including a testing phase. This is 8 days shorter than the company wide average.
Sustained a volume of 18 20 requisitions at any given time, which is 45% greater than any other
Recruiting teammate. This included sourcing candidates by utilizing resources such as LinkedIn
recruiter, CareerBuilder resume database and iCIMS Boolean search criteria.
Composed external job descriptions to appeal to qualified candidates. Revamped/amended
newspaper ads and converted them into internet job board ads that were easily readable with greater
detail, which provided a realistic job preview of what each position entails.
Managed the company’s LinkedIn page by promoting marketing content such as new developments,
designs, community outreach, etc. Increased follower base by over 47% within the last year.
Chairperson for the Awards & Recognition Committee, which involves directing meetings,
controlling operating budget, outlining employee morale concepts and delegating tasks to fellow
members. Instrumental in transitioning the program from division specific to a company wide effort.
Recommended process improvement through the internal “Resolve a Problem” platform that
decreased average document processing time by 60%. Converting a manual paper form into an
electronic format resulted in increased effectiveness and expanded capabilities.
