WORK EXPERIENCE
Driller
Capstar Drilling - Odessa, TX - September 2009 to January 2015
Responsibilities
Was in charge of running my crew and rig safely and efficiently. Making sure we stay on task over seeing
million dollar drilling projects. Keeping costs and turn over as low as possible .I was responsible for managing
4 to 10 crew members at any given time, duties included: On a daily basis I was in charge of safety of my crew
and any other workers while on drilling location, including safety glasses, hard hats, steel toed boots and flame
retardant clothing; H2S monitors and emergency oxygen masks. Set tasks for crew by priority, for rig
maintenance and daily routine maintenance on pits, pumps motors, generators, electrical motors and lines for
rig. Observe all flow lines for leaks and repair if needed. Troubleshoot issues with electrical lines and
generators. Hydraulic hoses fittings to ensure they can handle the pressure, ensure hydraulic pumps are
working properly with no leaks and pumping proper pressures for the task. Fluid pumps are working and no
leaks, pump pressure is correct, swabs are in good condition. Operation of the drilling equipment was my task
including: drilling rig operation for downhole pipe and fluid motors, pipe removal and placement in the hole,
draw works: drill line is good and no wear, sheaves in good working order and properly greased, top drive
(hydraulic swivel motor): no leaks on hydraulic hoses, motor is running properly, sounds good and not leaking
oil. Makes sure pump rate and pressure are correct. On rig move days I was charged with making sure all rig
equipment was loaded out onto trucks safely, also ensured that the old location was left clean. I then followed
the equipment to the location to ensure all arrived safely and in good condition, assisted movers off loading,
proper placement setting and rig up

Responsibilities
Worked on pumps to keep them running efficiently and safely. Mixed mud and other chemicals in the drilling
fluid. Making sure what the driller wanted done gets done. Rig maintenance and daily routine maintenance on
pits, pumps motors, generators, electrical motors and lines for rig. Observe all flow lines for leaks and repair if
needed. Troubleshoot issues with electrical lines and generators. Hydraulic hoses fittings to ensure they can
handle the pressure, ensure hydraulic pumps are working properly with no leaks and pumping proper

condition. After daily inspections are done start and repairs that are needed. If any maintenance is needed
