Azad University North Tehran, BS in Industrial Engineering, Tehran, Iran 2007
GPA: 17.4/20 (A); Dean’s list student award
Minor: Systems Analysis & Design
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, Manufacturing Engineer, Lincoln, AL 2012 - present
Developed the “semi-automated mister brake fluid machine” that reduces the annual “brake modulator” assembly
time by 800 hours.
Modified the Welding Department facility layout that resulted in 253 hours of annual cycle time reduction for side
panel outer.
Improved several critical process flows within the Welding Department that resulted in significant time and cost
savings due to reduced labor requirements.
Designed new processes for the new Honda Odyssey and Honda Ridgeline models to improve process work flow,
space requirements, and equipment layout.
Improved existing processes by applying Lean Six-Sigma methods (i.e. SIPOC Diagrams, Process Flow charts,
Pareto Charts, and Cause & Effect Diagrams) to identify non-value added activities, bottlenecks, and wastes.
Evaluated process efficiency by using time and motion study methods (MOST) and balanced production line to
improve productivity.
Mentored several junior engineers to successfully acquire manufacturing skills required to succeed in Honda
manufacturing.
Instructed Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) training courses.
2010 – 2013
University of Alabama in Huntsville, MSE Student, Huntsville, AL
Capstone Project:
Introduced a hybrid online and offline repair strategy for Honda frame assembly production line to optimize repair
planning.
Introduced a real time defect tracking system to monitor defects and enhance root cause detection procedures.
Developed a cost model for the hybrid repair strategy to accurately estimate equipment, parts, and labor costs
accounting for line closure and/or preparation c osts.
Design of Experiments Course Project:
Designed an experiment on a toy tractor-trailer truck using six input factors to maximize the traveling distance.
Selected six factors and replicated the experiment in two 26-2 fractional factorial design run.
Projected the 26-2 fractional factorial design into the 22 full factorial design.
Advanced Quality Control Course Project:
Developed a documentation system for the Maintenance Department of the Lawrence Medical Center to
systematically organize and prioritize maintenance tasks using Lean Six-Sigma Methodologies.
Developed a systematic and sustainable maintenance process that improved customer satisfaction and increased the
overall task completion ratio from 72% to 90%.
Applied the 5S method to organize filling and documentation procedures in the Lawrence Medical Center.

2011 – 2012
University of Alabama in Huntsville, Graduate Assistant, Huntsville, AL
Teaching assistant for the following courses: Engineering Probability& Statistics Course; Advanced Engineering
Economy Course; and Engineering Economy Course.
Characterized the operational and inherent availability of a lawnmower engine to model pre and post administrative
logistics downtime.
Applied several reliability tools, such as Work Breakdown Str ucture Diagram, Fault Tree Diagram, Effects and
Criticality Analysis, and Reliability Block Diagram to model and analyze failure of lawnmower engine.
Seyyed Factory (Automotive Parts Supplier), Quality Control Manager, Tehran, Iran 2007-2008
Reduced defective car ceiling handle parts manufactured in the mold injection processes from 1000 to 800 PPM
using Lean Six-Sigma Methodologies.
Developed sampling plans, collected samples, and analyzed data to establish control charts for critical mold
injection processes.
Conducted periodic sampling to monitor production and detect out of control processes in order to stabilize the
manufacturing processes and improve process capability.
Designed out of control action plan for the critical nonconforming parts.
Determined process and measurement system capability by using CP, CPk, DPU, DPMO, gauge R&R, P/T ratio,
and ANOVA.
