Senior IT Technical Project/Application Manager

• OTIS Project: J oined CIBC in 2006 as a Technical Team lead subsequently promoted to

Senior Manager responsible for leading a team of over 20 people, with the core responsibility to

provide support and enhancement of multiple medium sized projects on the enterprise wide J2EE

application platform, a massive 200+ million dollar project serving Front/Middle and Backoffice

users in the bank

Projects: TLM (Trade LifeCycle Manager) : Jan 2011 to Current

A multi-million dollar CIBC project called T L M that serves as a Trade workflow engine, a high volume

complex trading application, from Trade initiation to Settlement and book of records. Worked as a Project

Lead with 12 developers, working on core Java Multithreading techniques, and core J2ee(EJB,

J MS,Spring, IBM MQ) .

• Partner with clients to understand their business needs as well as identify and prioritize

their project requirements.

• Facilitate effective team meetings: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and demos.

• Work with the Product Owner and the Project team to develop and manage a project

backlog.

• Manage sprint backlog and key project elements,risks, scope, budgets and schedules.

A bank regulatory project with extremely tight deadlines that needed to be met as the product

Was destined for Production on Aug 2014 to meet the Canadian Banking regulatory needs.

Was involved as a technical PM with about 12 developers working round the clock to gather

requirements from Business partners and other lines of Business, namely Wealth and Retail M.

• Capture and track program metrics and perform analysis. Manage project scope by

assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.

• Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them. Clarify,

identify, and track requirements and issues,remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and

escalate to immediate manager where required.

A large J2EE /XML project where the email server was getting Migrated from Adlib product to Kofax

email connector product, impacting all lines of Business. Was involved hands-on with the Business analysts,

Core Business stakholders, Users, development team, Architect and Infrastructure team to develop a robust

plan for the smooth migration of the email functionality from Adlib to Kofax tool

connect to the BE LL Mainframe
