I am a results driven leader with 14 years of progressive experience
managing Wood costs, supply chain, safety, and organizational efficiencies
in various business markets both large and small. I am a loyal and
trustworthy manager and have taken on difficult assignments. Most
recently, I have been involved in resolving wood inventory issues,
developing business relations with wood suppliers, and disbanding employee
conflict. I ensure timely truck turnarounds, accurate inventory accounting
by utilizing SAP and LIMS reports, and have shared my perspective based on
factual data to improve our program performance. I have the verifiable
strengths of working closely with mill operations, purchasing, and
suppliers to manage deliveries, supplies, and customer relations.
Work History:
Domtar, Rothschild (July 2012-Current)
Wood Coordinator
Currently, I manage the Wood operations, supply and inventory at the
Rothschild Mill and offer oversight of our remote yards. I have created
quality control processes at our scale check points and have streamlined
our systems to improve cost and efficiency. I am currently working on
projects to reduce our Pulp Mill costs by $500,000. I supervise 27 hourly
employees and 1 salaried employee. I am responsible for the safe delivery,
handling, and processing of our largest raw material inventory to the mill.
I am proud to say that my areas have an excellent safety record and are
aligned with Rothschild's core mission, vision, and values.
Previous to this position, I was a Set up Supervisor in the Converting
department. I was a member of the Finishing Health & Safety Team, Mill
Confined Space Rescue Team, and HAZMAT team. I also volunteered on the
committee to update Local 2-319 Bi-Laws.
Crockett Septic LLC (April 2002- Current)
Operations Manager
I was responsible for planning, organizing, and optimizing the operation of
Crockett Septic which provided Waste Water Treatment service to a 4 county
area. I ensured compliance with federal, state and local regulatory
agencies such as the Wisconsin DNR and EPA. I grew a small business with no
contracts to managing over 1250 service contracts. Notably, most
contracts were consecutive 3 years contracts with Wood County Park &
Forestry in a sealed bidding format. I used my analytical, troubleshooting,
and decision making skills to build good business relationships with a wide
range of suppliers and grew our customer base in a challenging market.
Qualex, Kodak Eastman (2001-2003)
Operations Manager
I worked closely with suppliers to assure continuity of material supply and
negotiated pricing structures that were beneficial to all parties involved.
I conducted daily quality testing of our supply batches and finished
product. I ensured that photo lab employees working on 35mm process film
complied with federal and state laws as well as OSHA regulations. I
recommended feasible solutions for enhancing photo lab safety, quality and
performance, and successfully executed approved plans. I supervised the
training and certification of employees. I assigned, prioritized, and
followed up on assignments to photo lab staff while directing and providing
positive feedback.
Opportunity Development Center (1999-2001)
Production Supervisor
I supervised the daily safety, production, and training programs for a
company that delivers superior manufacturing and service solutions to
businesses by creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with
disabilities. I coordinated a two shift production team consisting of an
extremely diverse workforce. A large portion of my professional duties
revolved around negotiating contracts and pricing structures with large
clients such as Wal-Mart and Fiskars while protecting ODC and its stake
holders.
Georgia Pacific (1992 - 1999)
Production Laborer
I worked as a production employee in the Paper Machine area for five years.
I was awarded a posted position to the Nekoosa Power Department where I
spent the majority of my time in the Boiler House. My main function at the
Nekoosa Power Department was to supply all the raw material fuel to three
coal fired boiler systems. I was responsible for the successful delivery of
fuel using rail cars, hoppers, screening systems, screw conveyors and
belts. I was also a volunteer member of the HAZMAT, Ergonomics, and Safety
Team.
