• Reported to Chairman and CEO, managed a team of ten, and oversaw forecasting, budgeting,
corporate reporting, mortgage financing, insurance claims, banking relationships, investment
decisions, and property sales across Maxx’s real estate properties.
• Led organization in acquisition, due diligence, financing, and refinancing of 12,600 residential
units in 50 buildings nationwide, with total purchase price of $819M.
• Led vendor negotiations and financing with lending institutions, including HUD, Fannie Mae,
Freddie Mac, and CMBS; secured lines of credit for future acquisitions and the redevelopment of
existing assets.
• Initiated and managed disposition of 3,100 residential units in 14 buildings nationwide, with total
sales of $196M, including many 1031 exchanges.
• Oversaw financial reporting for 51 cooperative buildings in New York City metropolitan area;
designed programs to reduce real estate taxes and insurance expenses; managed the refinancing of
underlying cooperative mortgages; reduced interest rates and obtained capital for future property
improvements
• Secured competitive bids on multi-layered insurance packages for Maxx properties, saving
$500k+ in annual premiums.
