General Laborer

Assists with mixing and preparing mortar, stucco, or concrete for

construction and renovation projects.

Pours and pushes wheelbarrow loads of concrete, gravel and other materials

to worksite.

Assists with removing drywall, wood, sheetrock, appliances, etc, from the

construction/renovation sites as required.

Clears rocks, trash, and large debris from construction and renovation sites

in preparation for grading. Manually rakes and levels out graded areas as

needed.

Loads and unloads equipment and construction and renovation materials such

as lumber, sheetrock, tools, etc, and place them in required locations for

use in completing related projects.

Sweeps and cleans up debris in and around the construction/renovation sites

throughout the work day as needed.

I was classified as a general laborer although my main job duties were;

Roofer

Repaired, maintained, and removed roofs and the installed of new ones.

Measured roof to calculate the quantities of required materials Installed

vapor barriers and layers of insulation. Inspected composition shingles,

slate shingles and metal roofs for leaks. Applied cold process roof

coatings, an erected rigging. Determined materials requirements for roof

repairs, Inspected problem roofs to find out the best way to repair them.

Construct and replaced damaged joists and plywood. Install shingles,

asphalt, metal, or other materials to make the roof watertight.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Safe and efficient operation of a Backhoe, Gannon, Skid Steer, Forklift and

Dump truck. Used checklist for inspection of equipment and trailer before

and after use at job sites. Also maintain equipment and trailer by keeping

them clean
