• I worked 6 hours each day with the Metropolitan Police Department the department was

committed to working with the city's teens to prepare them for a successful career in whatever

field they choose. During the summer of 2009, MPD had a record number of youth through

their partnership with the Department of Employment Services. They provided me with the

knowledge and skills if I wanted to have a career in law enforcement such as the application

process for sworn membership, the background investigation process, and career

development advice on interviewing and drafting a resume. If I was interested in becoming

police officers they gave me the skills to succeed by meeting with MPD recruiters and arrange

to take the entry level examination during their six week program.
