To Whom It May Concern;
I am writing this letter to introduce myself as a candidate for the open position at your preschool. I am currently working as a teacher at the private child care facility, and have over one year of experience working with preschool age children. I currently have eighteen ECE units, and I am enrolled in 3 units for the spring of 2015. I am also CPR and First Aid Certified, and I believe, with my qualifications, I can become a successful teacher at your preschool.
As a teacher, which is my current position, I am responsible for building a healthy and learning environment, and providing many learning opportunities for each child. I build warm connections with every child by using appropriate questions, to help them express their thoughts and to use their speech to build better language and literacy skills. My biggest strength is teaching children in ways that will enhance their development. I use techniques to develop different hands-on activities that will stimulate children’s thinking, and my main motto is:” they learn while doing”. I believe that each child is unique and their little minds hide many undiscovered things and my job is to recognize each of them and help them to become who they really want to be.
I am Bilingual with fluency in Serbian and Bosnian language, and with basic knowledge of Russian language. Also, detail oriented and very artistic person. Art is my passion, and I believe that, through art, children enhance their further development. Through art they have a chance to learn in ways that cannot be told in words, but can be expressed with paint and brushes.
In closing, I would be more than happy to join your team of teachers and make your preschool become more successful. I look forward to hear back from you.
Sincerely,
Jelena Ilic
