ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
PROJECTS COMPLETED:
Main Project :I-nose wireless toxic gas detection system,
Team size :5
Summary :The proposed project monitors the level of Carbon Dioxide,
Carbon Monoxide and LPG in the air using respective sensors. These values can be monitored
from a centralized system by an authorized person. The sub module consists of a microcontroller
connected to various sensors. This system reads the value from the sensors processes it and sends
these values to the main system through a Zigbee communication network. The subsystem
module consists of efficient sensors by which the pollution intensity is measured. These values
are compared with threshold levels and the system give warning if the toxic content in the air is
more than the permissible range.
Miniproject :Heart rate variability using photoplethysmograph.
Team size :5
Summary :Heart rate variability (HRV) is a physiological phenomenon where the time interval
between heart beats varies. It is measured by the variation in the beat-to-beat interval. Other terms used
include "RR variability" and "heart period variability" .Methods used to detect beats include: ECG, blood
pressure, and the pulse wave signal derived from a photoplethysmograph (PPG).mechanical action is
coupled to the electrical activity of the heart.detection of the heart rate using the novel method PPG,we
can obtain real time and accurate variations.
Academic Seminar: Hand spring operated movement enhancer
: Hand rehabilitation after stroke is essential for restoring functional
independent lifestyles. The device assists with opening the patients hand using a series of bungee
cords that apply extention torques to the finger joints that compensate for the flexor hypertonia.
ACHIEVEMENTS
• Taken seminars on IEEE papers and biomedical engineering field.
